Sun Chemical will introduce new fine particle-size aluminum flakes in its Benda-Lutz® MAXAL EC range that offer a high level of brightness that is unusual for its small size while providing industry-leading stain resistance. MAXAL EC encapsulation technology provides superior resistance to alkali and acid staining without impacting the optical properties of the base aluminum flake giving architects and designers full freedom to create a large number of metallic effects. DIC will show how its FINEPLUS® GMA acrylic resins, utilizing proprietary chemistry, are specifically designed to produce crystal clear and corrosion-resistant powder coatings for architectural, industrial and decorative applications.

Waterborne Architectural Metal Coatings
Sun Chemical has expanded its successful VOC- and APEO-free Sunsperse® Eco and Aquadisperse WB dispersion line with new transparent red and yellow iron oxides. The high color purity and clarity of these pigments make them suitable for a variety of architectural applications. The Aquadisperse and Sunsperse Eco dispersions are widely compatible and ideal for in-plant tinting of wide variety of waterborne coating technologies. DIC’s WATERSOL® EP 5500 is an acrylic modified epoxyester resin that can be ambient cured for ACE anti-corrosion paints that are suitable for a wide variety of substrates.
