There isn’t too much I love more than food.  As Michael and I travel this globe we experience all different types of cuisine; some we love, some not quite so much.  It’s all part of the experience of travel.

When we were asked if we wanted to attend the Dine Out Vancouver Festival of course my answer was “Yes please!”  I didn’t know much about the festival so of course I did my research and got a little excited about some of the events included in the festival.

Dine Out Vancouver has been running since 2002 and now has over 200 restaurants involved, where you can experience great dining at affordable prices.  There are also great hotel Stay & Dine packages if you want to make a weekend of it!  This is what we did and we stayed at the Metropolitan Hotel, which was wonderful!  We had a meal there as part of the package, and let me tell you, the food was amazing!  I highly recommend the lamb!

We also went to the 6 Course Discourse, which was one of the festival events. They had a fantastic selection of canapés, cooked by 6 of the top chefs of Vancouver.  You could walk around the room sampling bite-sized pieces of heaven, and sipping on some of Vancouver’s best wines.  After our bellies were full, the chefs lead a discussion about their specialties.

There are still many other events you can take part in as the festival runs until February 2nd.  So if you are a bit of a foodie like me, and are in Vancouver between now and February 2nd, here are some of the other events you could take part in.
