Paramore announces today that they are partnering with Sixthman to headline a festival at sea on Norwegian Pearl from March 7-11, 2014. PARAHOY! is the first collaboration between Paramore and Sixthman. Guests can expect a true immersive experience, as they sail from Miami to the Caribbean surrounded by like-minded fans. Tegan and Sara will also join the festival at sea as well as additional artists to be announced shortly and round out the festival experience.
Event details are yet to be confirmed but guests can expect concerts on multiple stages around Norwegian Pearl from day until night, with bands playing multiple times over the course of the cruise. Paramore will be hosting activities, giving fans a unique way to interact with the band. Other artists will also host activities, Q&As, and other special events. All bands are on board the ship for the whole festival, with plenty of opportunities for impromptu interactions and collaborations.
Nashville-based trio Paramore recently released their fourth studio album which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart, and internationally at No. 1 in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and the United Kingdom. The self-titled album by the 3x-Grammy nominated band features the hit single “Still Into You,” which is now a Top 20 hit at pop radio nationwide. The companion video for “Still Into You” is also a VH1 favorite featured on their Top 20 Countdown. The official music video also has an astonishing 23 million views and counting on YouTube. “Paramore” marks the band’s first new release in four years and follows the success of their gold-certified debut All We Know Is Falling in 2005, and a string of platinum and gold singles, including “Misery Business,” “Crushcrushcrush,” and “That’s What You Get” from 2007’s platinum-certified Riot!, “Decode” from 2008’s Twilight soundtrack, “The Only Exception” from 2009’s platinum Brand New Eyes, and “Monster” from 2011’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack.
Paramore will embark on a national headline arena tour “The Self-Titled Tour” kicking off October 15th at Seattle’s Key Arena and continuing through November 27th at The Arena At Gwinnett Center in Atlanta. The tour also includes the band’s first ever headline show at the legendary Madison Square Garden in NYC on November 13th and a homecoming show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 26th. This tour follows a series of sold-out arena tours, including headlining the 2010 Honda Civic Tour and multiple visits to Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and South America.
With 15 decks packed with activities and entertainment, Norwegian Pearl offers guests access to 13 bars and lounges, 19 dining experiences, one outdoor pool, four hot tubs, and an expansive spa offering the ultimate in relaxing treatments to help forget about the world left behind. Onboard concerts aren’t the only things that rock on Norwegian Pearl – guests looking for more activities can visit the outdoor climbing wall, bowl a few frames at the onboard lanes, or try their luck at The Pearl Club Casino. ParAhoy cruisers can choose from a variety of accommodations that fit any lifestyle, from a well-appointed interior staterooms to the luxurious penthouse suites and Garden Villas located in The Haven, as they sail to a beautiful port in the Caribbean.
