Dunno if anyone else has this but I find it's generally hard to pin down my tastes in techno, literally it's like an eel.
From a DJ perspective I rarely ever play the same type of set twice. Sometimes I think right I'll settle for doing this or that and then 3 months later I'm buying or attempting to make completely different stuff.
