adidas Originals by mastermind JAPAN – Summer 2013 Collection
Flaunting the boundaries of both retro and contemporary, the latest adidas collaboration sees the German sportswear brand team up with esteemed streetwear label mastermind JAPAN.
Celebrarting some of adidas’ most revered styles, mmJ – their final project before closing the doors on 15 years of business – have added a slab of streetwear styling to showcase the strong imprint of both of these two brands. The collection, dubbed ‘Best of Adidas’, comprises of six archival styles; Superstar 80s, ZX500, Rivalry Hi, Country, Gazelle and ProModel CF.
With dark overtones and a nod to the latest ‘street goth’ trend, each model is styled with full grain leather uppers with perforations, tonal lacing and textured midsoles in contrast white. Each style is finished with a contrast white dual branded tongue with the iconic mastermind JAPAN crossbones adorning the heel.
