Texture and tactility are key this Autumn/Winter season, a trend which the dozen stellar fashion design graduates chosen for the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival’s 2014 National Graduate Showcase seem to have collectively tapped into. Here’s a little glimpse of the ideas we will see on the runway.
Congratulations to bright young talents Juliette Booth, Gabrielle Brown, Chin Hau Tay, Tan Thanh Trieu, Victoria Thaniotis, Yan Wang and Molly Younger all from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, University of Technology Sydney graduates Lillian Chan, Roxane Chan, Wing Chiang, Anna-Marie Gruber and finally Edwina Sinclair of the Queensland University of Technology. One graduate will receive a $25,000 career and possible mentorship and Designers For Target collaboration via the project’s new benefactor Target.
