Last week I was invited to Stephen Einhorn's jewellery workshop in Islington, London. I was a bit gutted I couldn't come since I love to see the process of how things are made from scratch, specially handmade things that require design and skill. I wanted to share this video about Stephen's design process. I'm really fond of all things hand made, the process of an idea developed into something special.
Stephen Einhorn jewellery is cutting-edge design with a modern British sensibility. Stephen's pieces are all designed and handmade in his London studio and jewellery workshops by a team of highly-skilled artisans and goldsmiths. Designed for individuals who seek originality, exclusivity and high quality craftsmanship. He designs classic collections that continually expand, allowing his customers to become collectors.
Paul Smith commissioned Stephen’s very first men’s jewellery collection plus many subsequent collections including a women’s jewellery collection sold as ‘Stephen Einhorn for Paul Smith’. Stephen has designed men’s retail ranges for A Bathing Ape, Alfred Dunhill and Takeo Kikuchi, amongst others.
In this outfit, I'm wearing then silver fang necklace the piece is delicate with beautiful details. You can see the quality of the material and the impressive work as you would expect of something handmade in here.
