Sweater from Rick Owens and skirt from Proenza Schouler. The boots are from & Other Stories.

STYLE “I dress quite simple, primarily in a pair of trousers, a sweater or shirt – but I want my look to have something rock ‘n’ roll. It can be a small detail like the material, leather, metallic or something with a shiny finish. At least one item that I’m wearing needs to be ready to walk up on stage. I also like sporty influences.”

FAVOURITE DESIGNER “Anthony Vaccarello, Haider Ackermann, Heidi Slimane and Nicolas Ghesquière. I buy mostly Stella McCartney, her clothes are very flattering and you can make them your own, it’s a very good base.”

EVERYDAY UNIFORM “I love trousers, it’s definitely my thing. I wear jeans, suit pants or leather trousers pretty much every day with a shirt or cashmere sweater. Not too long ago I would have added ten-centimeter high heels, but I’ve gone through high heel rehab. Today I wear sneakers, loafers, flat boots or a five centimeter heel at most. I’m still fighting my heel addiction.”

Pants Stella McCartney, loafers from Weejuns. The shirt is my dads old one. The gold barcelet was left to me by a relative. The beautiful drawing was made by my son Glenn.

PARTY STYLE “Generally, it’s my everyday style with (finally!) a pair of high heels. I also love a good skirt that shows a lot, a lot of leg. I rarely show skin on my upper body.”

BAGS “I consider my Cabas from Céline to be one of my best buys ever. I think I’ve used it pretty much every day since I bought it. I use it for shopping, work, when I travel, and at the beach. When I go out I’ll take my Chanel bag nine times out of ten. I also love Louis Vuitton’s monogram bags.”

From the left: My everyday bag is from Céline and is one of my best buys ever. The Rörstrand-vase was a gift from my mother and Byredos Sunday Cologne is the fregnance I use the most. Outfit: ”Dress from Issa, my favorite jacket from Vince and sneakers from Adidas/ Sneakersnstuff. Earring from Dominic Jones. The armchair was made by Arne Norell and the guitar was a birthday gift from my brother!

JEWELRY “I always wear a golden bracelet which I inherited, and a thinner one that used to be my grandmother’s. I have two jewelry pieces that represent my son, a ‘G’ around my neck and a diamond ring that was a gift from his grandmother. When I turned forty I bought a Cartier watch as a gift to myself, which is set to my time of birth, 2:55. I wear a diamond earing in the shape of a half-moon from Stone Paris. It represents strong and free women to me, taking after a scene in a Siri Hustvedt-novel.”

SHOES “Shoes are my number one love when it comes to fashion. My favourite brands are Gianvito Rossi, Chanel, Saint Laurent, ATP Atelier and Vans. I never tire of my Isabel Marant fringe boots, they’ve been with me for many years. I think you get the best heels from Manolo Blahnik, and my kitten-heel boots from Saint Laurent are my absolute favourite. They remind me of the boots Madonna wore in Desperately seeking Susan, that movie made a huge impression on me as a kid. Thigh-high boots, or hooker boots, are a model I always come back to. I own a lot of them from different brands.”

To the left: I think this is a dress, but I’m so tall that I wear it as a top, from Stella McCartney. Outfit: Leather pants from Balmain x H&M, cashmere sweater from Uniqlo and my all time favorite boots from Saint Laurent.

JEANS “I primarily own black jeans, mostly from Acne Studios. I wish I had more from Calvin Klein.”

MOST STARTLING ITEM “My gold foil dress from Max Mara. I practically bought it with my eyes at the fashion show in Milano. You’d think it would be hard to wear, but I use it unexpectedly often.”

BEST BUY “A black dress from Stella McCartney that works in all situations; at work, out on the town, at the beach, day and night. It has saved me many times; I always bring it with me when I travel. My midnight blue jacket from Vince that Elin (Kling) recommended (she has one as well) is also one of my best buys. Since I bought it, I have stopped craving other jackets. It has just the right thickness and the silhouette is perfect.”

From the left: Shoes from Diego Dolcini. Coat from Hedi Slimanes Dior Homme-era. Tröja från Maison Martin Margiela. Boots from Gianvito Rossi – and sneakers from Saint Laurent. And what can I say, I like boots from Chanel. Favorite bag from Luis Vuitton.

INSPIRATION “Hello, I work at STYLEBY!”

SHOPPING PERSONALITY “I don’t buy a lot, I choose carefully. I like to consume with my brain and heart.”

STYLE TIP “I like to buy my shirts in the mens’ department where they’re not typically female. Otherwise I’ll go up one or two sizes. Generally speaking, I think people wear their clothes too tight. I think we show too much respect for the size label that’s printed on our clothes. If you’re a size ten you’ll buy size ten, even if size fourteen might look better on you.”

CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF “Boots from Chanel’s pre-fall collections. It seems like I end up buying a pair every year. I also find it hard to say no to fierce trousers. For example, I have a pair in gold tweed that just screamed my name at the store. Same with my patent leather trousers from MSGM.”

Outfit: Sweater from Nike, leather pants from Acne Studios. Earrings from Stone Paris and Jane Kønig.  Sweaters from Stella McCartney. Boots från Givenchy.

MOST USED “Round neck cashmere sweaters from Uniqlo’s men’s department.”

OLDEST CLOTHING ITEM “My leather biker jacket, which I bought vintage. It’s going on its twenty-sixth year in my wardrobe. One of my first designer buys was a Helmut Lang dress, which I bought around 1996. I still wear it. I actually wore it at the STYLEBY launch party!”

LAST BUY “Ellery’s flounce blouse, and a beige spring coat with gold metal details from Céline which I bargained at Vestiaire Collective. Other than that I’ve bought a lot of pencil skirts from Altuzarra and Roland Mouret. It seems I have some kind of Carine Roitfeld plan ahead.”

From the left: Watch from Cartier, Gold bracelet that used to be my aunts. The necklace was a gift from Lana del Ray (!) och diamant ring was a gift from my sons grandmother. Earring from Sophie Bille Brahe. // Pants from & Other Stories, stockings from Wolford and shoes from ATP Atelier. // Dress from Helmut Lang. The golden G in my necklacee is from Thomas Sabo and stands for my son Glenn.

NEXT BUY “I’ve been longing for the Gucci loafers with fur for three seasons now. I think it’s soon time to give in. I’m always trying to get Elin to sell me her Lulu bag from Saint Laurent. I’ve had no luck so far but we’ll get there. I’ve also got an eye on Veronika Heilbrunner’s palm tree bag from the same brand.”

WARDROBE YOU ENVY “Jocke Berg. His wardrobe is insanely good and luckily he’s very generous and lets me borrow stuff for special occasions. I also love the wardrobe of our stylist Vanessa Traina Snow.”

BEAUTY “I started with skin care late in life, but I think my skin turned out okay. I like oils. Right now I’m using one from Clinique. I never moisturize my body. I like expensive make up in luxurious packaging and I’m crazy about good quality brushes, I like the feeling. I wash my hair with Bumble & Bumble’s surf series, they give the right amount of texture to my hair without having to use a whole lot of products. I get my deodorant, sunscreen and tanning products from Biotherm. I rarely paint my nails, but if I do it’s with Chanel’s Rouge Noir – predictable, yes.”

SCENT “I mostly use Byredo’s Sunday Cologne. If I go out, I’ll put on YSL Black Opium. I love Frédéric Malle’s scents and I’d like to buy one, I just can’t decide on which one.”

READY IN 5 “Dry shampoo or a pony-tail, mineral powder from Tromborg, eyebrow pen, rouge and some shadow around the eye. Ready!”

WELLNESS “I have a personal trainer two times a week, I go riding once a week and sometimes I go running. I like Nike, Adidas and Casall. I perform much better when I’m well dressed, as per usual.”

MUSIC “It’s very important, and has been my whole life. I’m pretty sure my love for rock music, everything from 70s Americana to heavy metal, goth and black metal, has significantly influenced me and my wardrobe. I think that my love for those, unique, extreme clothing items are derived from my love of music. You can definitely tell what kind of music I am into looking at my closet, I like that.”

READ “A lot of music related literature, preferably set in New York or Los Angeles circa the 1960s, 1970s or 1980s. There’s no limit of how many anecdotes I’ll devour.”

ART “Women’s art interests me the most. The topics of women affects me most. Having said that, my greatest art experiences are Inner Stadt Aussen by Olafur Eliasson and Savage Beauty by Alexander McQueen. I’ve become more and more interested in ceramics and I’d like to develop that more in the future.”

INTERIOR “White walls and black floor is my base. I decorate with black, brown wood, warm metals, a lot of mother tongue, books and personal reflections.”

FAVOURITE SHOP “I shop a lot online today, looking for bargains at EBay and Vestiaire Collective. When I visit Liberty in London I can’t walk out without something from the jewelry department, I just can’t!”
