The name Tory Burch brings to mind elegant and preppy American style, it’s synonymous with her classic Reva ballet flats and their bold logo. And while we do love Tory–her Fall 2014 collection was a fabulous romp through medieval armor–we’re more interested right now in two younger members of the Burch family, Tory’s former stepdaughters Pookie and Louisa (shown above) who are co-founders of a new sportswear line for women called Trademark.

Trademark, which has been in the works since 2011, is the kind of line that offers up simple basics that you combine to make flawlessly elegant everyday outfits. The sisters took inspiration from classic styles of the past decade and updated the colors and fabrics to reflect the modern times. It’s a very personal collection that reflects what they want to see and wear now, they told Women’s Wear Daily.

Personal and family-based it seems. Their father, billionaire Chris Burch–he owns C. Wonder–and their former stepmother Tory, were very involved in the process. Tory helped on the design side, and Chris backed the financials.

The name comes from a desire that their pieces become trademarks to their customers, signature looks, if you will. With what we’ve seen so far, that’s definitely bound to happen. And new styles are set to be introduced each month, so the trademarks will, happily, keep on coming.

Right now Trademark is only available online, but a brick-and-mortar shop in New York City is set to open this month. Click through to take a look through the brand’s Spring 2014 lookbook for some seasonal inspiration. We’re particularly fond of the clear handbags, flat sandals, and outerwear.
