This month’s Blogger Crush is the lovely Sarah from Extraordinary Chaos, a busy working Mum with 2 boys and her husband. Sarah is a talented blogger sharing her travels and adventures in her posts. With her photographs full of nature and culture, we give you our blogger crush…

HOW DID THE BLOG EXTRAORDINARY CHAOS COME ABOUT?

I had wanted to start a blog for such a long time and never had the time or confidence, one of my best friends had a lovely scrap booking blog and I loved following it. But I always felt I would not be able to do it.

And then one New Years Eve I asked one of our friends what he felt the secret of success was? His answer was, never be afraid of failure. If you fail you just start again. The next day I started planning my blog, realising that I was the only person stopping this going forward. I spent a month deciding on names, but knew chaos had to feature because that is the one word that describes family life in the Christie household.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT BLOGGING?

Most definitely the opportunities and friendships, I have met so many wonderful people via blogging. Being able to offer the boys some of the experiences that blogging has created is incredible. And to see the look on their faces as we encounter these wonderful opportunities is priceless, we have made some really special memories all thanks to my little blog. And I really never expected to meet so many wonderful people through blogging, I feel so lucky to have a circle of amazing contacts who I not only love and respect, but also now consider true friends.

WHAT INSPIRED WHAT YOU WRITE?

First and foremost is travelling with my family, seeing new and exciting things with them is so inspiring. I want to create so many memories and make the boys aware of the world around them. To never be blinkered and always open to new and exciting adventures. And as we live in the countryside I love sharing about our life in our little house, we live so far out which the boys really do not appreciate. They don’t realize how lucky we are to have such amazing views and farm animals all around us. Every day when I look out of the window I feel inspired. And if I am not feeling inspired I walk the dog, there is nothing like a walk in the country to help you focus. I am hoping one day they will look back at my blog and realise just how incredible it is to live in such a wonderful place.

PLEASE SHARE WITH US YOUR TOP THREE BOOKMARED BLOGGERS

This is so hard as I love so many blogs.

I am going to start with Mini Travellers; Karen is like superwoman. She is one of those people that is always juggling a million balls and never drops any! And she shares my passion for travel. I love following her families’ adventures as they are always up to something.

Jess from Mummy of Boy Girl Twins – I have loved following her family and blog grow and evolve and just love how she has really embraced style this year. It has really motivated me to claim back my cool. Something the boys say I am not! And be braver about posting images of my fashion choice and myself on my blog.

Rachel from The Ordinary Lovely – Rachel just has a unique style, I love how she thinks out of the box and makes craft and home-style look so easy and almost obvious in a why didn’t I think of that way? Her photography is just gorgeous which again is always through that quirky unique view. I love individuality in people and Rachel oozes unique.

Can I sneak one more in? (Although I have a list of 12!)

And the very reason I started blogging is one of my best friends Donna at Like Love Do. She stopped blogging shortly after I started and has recently re-launched her blog, I love her new look. Her son Harry is in a west end show so she spends most of her days in London, as a result has started to share some really quirky places to visit and eat, to which I am adding to my ever growing London list. And her London photography is just incredible.

WHAT ARE YOUR MOST COVETED PIECES FROM LAURA ASHLEY?

At the moment it has to be my lit winter garland. It is so pretty, and is just perfect for our dining area. I love decorating the house for Christmas and Laura Ashley have some gorgeous pieces this year. And what I love most is that they are classic, so we will use them for years to come.

Thanks so much Sarah! Who would you like to be our next blogger crush? Let us know below or on Twitter @LauraAshleyUK
