Welcome To Jurrasic Park… Again!

Yeah , yeah we know another Jurassic Park movie right? Well Jurassic World is definitely another trip to the island of Isla Nubar that’s worth it. So lets dive into this review.

It’s been 22 years since all hell broke loose at the original Jurassic Park built by John Hammond. We immediately are introduced to brothers Zach (Nick Robinson)  and Gray (Ty Simpkins) Mitchell.

Zach and Gray are on their way to Jurassic World to  meet their aunt Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) who is park operations manager.

Upon arrival on the island Zach is excited to see live dinosaurs up close and personal, his older brother on the other hand Gray is more concerned with the ladies. What was supposed to be family time with Aunt Claire just turns out to be a trip to the park. Claire whom is always consumed with her work hands her nephews off to her assistant with an all access pass. The two youngsters find a way to ditch their babysitter and go enjoy the parks attractions.

Claire is more concerned at the moment with keeping the park more thrilling and exciting as she points out “No one’s impressed with dinosaurs anymore”. Forgoing family time she goes on to meet with her boss and the parks owner Simon Masrani (Irrfan Khan).

Claire hops in her bosses helicopter to go see their newest attraction and one of the films biggest stars literally the Indominus Rex. Yeah we laughed at the name too, the Indominus Rex is a genetically modified dinosaur aimed to scared the living crap out of the guests. Boooooy they don’t know what they are  getting themselves into. Upon inspection of his newest prized possession Simon instructs Claire to consult Owen Grady ( Chris Pratt) to inspect the Rex’s containment area.

Owen is basically a Velociraptor whisperer, we immediately see him being able to control the already insanely smart dinosaurs. We also meet Vic Hoskins (Vincent D’Onofrio), he is head of security operations  for the evil corporation InGen you may remember from previous films.

Vic sleazy self is desperately trying to convince to let InGen use Owen’s raptors as military weapons. Owen what’s no part of InGen’s plans and forbids the idea of such a thing. Owen goes to link up with Claire to see the cage that’s housing their super dinosaur. Claire and Owen notice Rex is nowhere to be found. Owen heads in to inspect the cage and that’s when all hell breaks loose AGAIN.

Owen realizes that Rex lured them into the cage, and that this isn’t no ordinary dino he is dealing with. Rex easily escapes his cage and here’s where the real roller coaster rides begins. It’s up to Owen now to rescue Claire’s lost nephews and save the guest from jaws of the Indominus Rex and other threats on the island.

Jurassic World definitely lived up to the hype, it reintroduced us to a world we didn’t think would be that interesting again. With updated CGI graphics the dinosaurs look absolutely amazing especially in IMAX.. We saw the film in IMAX 3D and honestly the 3D wasn’t necessary at all. Chris Pratt follows up his amazing performance in last years surprise summer blockbuster Guardians of The Galaxy with his showing in Jurassic World. The climatic battle in the end is definitely memorable and a great way to end the film. Jurassic World is the perfect reintroduction to the film series and we expect numerous sequels to follow. We definitely recommend you take the family to go see this one, it’s a great movie for the summer.
