When Douglas Gautraud saw an opportunity to enter a competition detailing your Role Models in life, he jumped at the chance. It was not difficult for him to decide who his role models are after doing some research into the lives of his grandfathers.
Both men had been an absolute inspiration and lived full and interesting lives. After doing a little more research, Douglas decided he wanted to follow in their footsteps. He bought a motorcycle and started to travel.
When his mother found out about the bike, she begged him to stop riding it as she worried that he would end up under a bus.
Douglas then realised something even more special than his grandfathers accomplishments. He realised they gave all their lives to others. This is what made them special and this is what we should all aspire to be like.
