Sneaker collaborations from Singapore have put the country on the world map and captured the attention of the global sneaker community. Here’s a look at all of them.

2006

This masterpiece propelled SBTG to worldwide recognition. Till this day, many sneaker collectors around the world consider the SBTG x Nike SB Dunk a holy grail.

2008

Limited Edt x New Balance M577LE

Limited to 140 pairs worldwide, Limited Edt teamed up with New Balance to produce a collab to mark the store’s 5th Anniversary. The colorway was a reflection of the store’s interior while each box was secured by a combination lock that was accessed by a serial number corresponding to the individually numbered sneaker.

Jahan x Vans Vault Sk8-Hi

For China’s first ever Vans Vault release, the American skateboarding company collaborated with Singapore visual artist Jahan Loh. The design, which depicted honor and royalty in China, was launched exclusively in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Only 200 pairs were released.

SBTG & Methamphibian x Leftfoot x New Balance 576 “Heaven & Hell” Edition

SBTG and American sneaker customizer Methamphibian worked almost an entire year on the New Balance 576. The aim was to utilize only one color per design and to create as much depth as possible with the sneaker paneling. Each colorway was limited to 444 pieces worldwide.

2009

Jahan x Vans Mountain Edition Mid

Jahan’s second collaboration with Vans involved the less common Mountain Edition Mid model. Despite being predominately black, the suede combined with patent snakeskin leather upper, made this sneaker an eye catcher. Only 200 pairs made it to consumers.

Leftfoot x mita sneakers x New Balance 999 “Feral” Collection

To reintroduce the iconic 999 model into the market, New Balance teamed up with Singapore sneaker retailer Leftfoot and Japan’s mita sneakers. Dubbed the “Mouse” and “Lion”, the sneakers were an interpretation of Asia-inspired lifestyles and culture by drawing on various animals that have left their mark on our urban jungles. Released on August 9th, 2009, each design was limited to 660 pieces worldwide.

SBTG x DC Shoes “Circus of Mutants”

2012

Subcrew MADE by Jahan x adidas Originals ZX 700

Only 40 pairs of these sneakers were produced as a promotional item for friends and family of Hong Kong’s streetwear label Subcrew. Invoking the same theme as the Subcrew MADE by Jahan “Working Class Hero” collection, the sneakers were produced to show respect and appreciation to those that have contributed to the culture of streetwear.

Limited Edt x Android Homme Propulsion Hi

For its first ever collaboration with an international retailer, Los Angeles luxury footwear brand Android Homme partnered Limited Edt. The result was a neo-futuristic design as an interpretation of Limited Edt’s Vault and Chamber store. Both colorways were limited to 72 pairs worldwide.

Limited Edt x New Balance ML574 “Year of the Dragon”

In conjunction with the release of the 574 Dragon Pack, New Balance invited five influential stores from Asia to put their spin on the 574 silhouette. Limited Edt interpreted the water dragon by using see-through uppers with reflective material on the heels and lace toggles.

Limited Edt x Reebok Workout Plus

This sneaker was released as part of the Reebok Workout’s 25th Anniversary. The blue and orange colorway drew inspiration from the bottle aesthetic of Singapore’s Tiger Beer in 1987, the year the Workout first debuted.

SBTG x Kicks Lab x Thrasher “Buchanan Dog”

SBTG is a name synonymous with old school punk skate aesthetic, so his collaboration with Thrasher Magazine and Kicks Lab on the “Buchanan Dog” was highly sought after. The personalized tongue tags, the crossbone motif, suede and herringbone wool sections all came together nicely to scream “Royale Fam”.

2013

Limited Edt x Reebok Classic Leather

To commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Reebok Classic Leather, Limited Edt opted to represent the Year of the Snake by translating and applying snake skin to the classic silhouette.

Limited Edt x Vans Collection

This collection comprised two classic Vans silhouettes — the Sk8-Hi and Old Skool. Each was inspired by Vans’ skateboarding heritage as well as key architectural elements in Limited Edt’s LE Way boutique.

2014

Limited Edt x Hypethetic x Reebok Instapump Fury

This sneaker represented the tenth of 27 Instapump Fury 20th Anniversary collaborations. Featuring signature elements from Limited Edt and Hypethetic, the Singapore release came in an individually numbered holographic box, limited to 175 pairs.

Limited Edt x New Balance 577LEV

Limited Edt’s third and final collaboration on the New Balance M577 was a throwback to its first store at Queensway Shopping Centre. The M577LEV features a mix of nubuck leather and reflective panels. Royal blue and flash orange colors, reminiscent of Limited Edt Queensway’s interior décor and logo.

Limited Edt x Reebok Pump

Reebok Pump’s 25th anniversary saw several sneaker shops around the world put their spin on the classic basketball shoe, and Limited Edt’s take on it saw a bright color palette with shiny silver detailing.

SBTG x Kicks Lab x Thrasher “Decker”

This second collaboration between SBTG, Kicks Lab and Thrasher was a reflection of the friendship the three entities share. An absolute looker, it came with its military herringbone twill fabric and SBTG’s signature “Parsillia” camo pattern on the sides.

SBTG x mita sneakers x New Balance MRT580SM

SBTG’s collaboration with Japan’s mita sneakers saw the design encompassing the theme “breaking down of barriers”, through its wire fence and wire cutter artwork on the insoles.

2015

Limited Edt x adidas Consortium ZX Flux and Superstar 80v

Inspired by batik fabrics that are part of Singapore’s traditional attire, Limited Edt took it upon themselves to create a custom floral pattern that incorporated the orchid (Singapore’s National Flower), the adidas Trefoil logo and Limited Edt’s emblem.

Limited Edt x ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE III “Vanda”

With Singapore celebrating its 50th year of independence and ASICS Tiger commemorating the 25th anniversary of the GEL-LYTE III silhouette, it came as no surprise that a collaboration to establish both entities’ milestones would come to fruition. This floral sneaker took inspiration from the Vanda Miss Joaquim hybrid orchid.

Limited Edt x Jahan x Reebok Ventilator

For the Reebok Ventilator’s 25th Anniversary, Limited Edt joined forces with Jahan to give the iconic Ventilator a makeover.

Limited Edt x PUMA Blaze of Glory

Every inch of the Limited Edt x PUMA Blaze of Glory screamed “Singapore”, and it’s easy to see why. The uppers feature reflective 3D fish-scale graphics and faux pony hair, paying homage to the Merlion, a mythical creature that’s been one of Singapore’s longstanding icons.

SBTG x ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE V “Phys-Ed”

We gave this sneaker the “Best Collaboration of 2015” award, and with good reason. Not only was it SBTG’s first official collab with ASICS Tiger, but it featured the artist’s signature military aesthetics and even had a quilted toe box to boot!

SBTG x mita sneakers x PUMA Clyde “First Contact”

The PUMA Clyde received the SBTG treatment, arriving in black and olive colors with camouflage on the uppers, custom insoles and a modified version of the original Clyde’s sole unit.

SBTG x Palladium

SBTG’s knack for military-inspired themes matched with Palladium’s aviation roots to create a collection of heritage boots that featured the former’s signature “Parsillia” camo pattern.
