PRESS RELEASE – Technical /supervisory workers employed with FLOW along with clerical workers employed with the Saint Lucia Hospitality Industry Workers Credit Cooperative Society Limited will now be in a position to receive trade union representation.
This development is as a result of both groups participating in a secret ballot conducted by officials from the Department of Labour.
The workers voted in majority in favour of having their interest protected by the National Workers Union (NWU). The NWU has since received two (2) Recognition Certificates as the exclusive bargaining agent for workers employed with FLOW and the Hospitality Workers Credit Cooperative Society.
The NWU is now in the process of scheduling meetings with its new members on the way forward.
