ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Ameren Missouri reports that about 140 people throughout south St. Louis city and County are still without power Monday morning. This is due to several large lines being down throughout the St. Louis region because of the weather, an Ameren official said.

The outage is mostly concentrated in the St. Louis Hill neighborhood. A transformer on Macklind Avenue was damaged, causing much of the outages in the south St. Louis area.

At the height of the outage Monday morning, more than 8,000 places were in the dark.

Ameren crews are out working to restore power. There is no word on how soon work will be completed.
