Boo at the Zoo Nights:

Nightly, October 18-30, 2016

5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Come explore the Zoo after dark during the special Halloween evenings: Boo at the Zoo Nights! This non-scary, kid-friendly Halloween experience is filled with laughs and adventure. Children are encouraged to wear costumes. Children 12-and-under will receive a treat bag upon exiting. Boo at the Zoo Nights is not a trick-or-treating experience.

$6/member; $7/non-member; children under 2 are free; $1 discount for children 2 to 12 in costume

Halloween At Grant’s Farm

OCTOBER 7 – 8, 13 – 16, 20 – 23, AND 27 – 30

The parking lot will open at 5:45PM and trams will begin running through the Deer Park at 6:00PM. Parking lot closes at 9:00PM.

Parking is $20 per car with no per person admission. Walk-ups will be $5 per person.

No reservations required. Guests are encouraged to bring flashlights to search for animals during the Dark Deer Park Rides.

The Magic House – Not-So-Haunted House

It’s the Not-So-Haunted House that is oh-so-fun! Children of all ages are invited to dress in their most “boo-tiful” costumes and have a ghoulishly good time trick or treating and getting autographs from their favorite storybook characters at this candy-free celebration.

The Magic House Happy, Halloween Party

Join us for a special happy Halloween celebration where kids can participate a cardio dance party, make a healthy snack with St. Louis Children’s Hospital’s resident chef and even complete a scavenger hunt for candy-free treats!

Eckert’s Haunted Hayrides:

September 9th— October 29th, 2016

Fridays: 5 pm — 9 pm

Saturdays: 11 am — 3pm OR 5 pm — 9 pm

Sundays: 12 pm — 4 pm

There’s lots of ghoulish fun for young and old during this hayride through Eckert’s haunted orchard. Haunted hayrides take place every Friday and Saturday night (after the sun goes down) September 18th through October 30th. One free haunted hayride is included with each paid admission. Eckerts JUMPIN’ PUMPKIN JAMBOREE:

Saturdays and Sundays beginning September 24th and throughout the entire month of October.

Ride the wagons out to the pumpkin patch to search for your great pumpkin. Our pumpkins range from a couple of pounds to more than 150 pounds so we are sure to have the perfect jack-o-lantern for you! Wagon rides, country music, live entertainment, pony rides, funnel cakes and festival foods make this a fun-filled weekend for everyone! Children’s activities. Petting farm. These programs engage our youngest visitors and their families in historic objects and museum settings by using traditional and contemporary storybooks. Children also will enjoy a hands-on craft or other activity. Each 45-minute session is FREE. This program is recommended for children ages 2-5. Kids only (adults welcome with children). Check with the Ticket Desk for gallery locations upon arrival.

Missouri Botanical Gardens – Booterflies

October 22 & 23, 2016

5 – 7 pm

Step into the wonder and beauty of butterflies, insects, spiders and their other many-legged friends! Your little bugaboos will be able to play games, create spook-tacular crafts and take home lots of loot after they visit our many hand-painted Treat Houses. Families can dance to Monster Jams at the Ugly Bug Ball or spy on the amazing Owl Butterfly, which are only active during dusk and dawn. Admission into the Butterfly House, activities, light refreshments, crafts, treats, and goody bags are included in the event ticket price. Space is limited and reservations are required. Price is per person.

Purina Farms – Haunted Hayloft

Dates: Oct 21-23 and Oct 28-30

Hours are 4:30p.m. – 9p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30p.m. – 7:30p.m. on Sundays.

Enjoy not-so-scary Halloween fun during two different weekends at Purina Farms Oct 21-23 and 28-30. Activities include storytelling, trick-or-treating, magic shows, hayrides and more! Kids under the age of 12 can participate in the costumes contests for a chance to win a $25 gift card to the Purina Farms gift shop. Plus, meet adoptable dogs from Gateway Pet Guardians. Admission is free. Parking is $5. Call to make a reservation to visit.

Enjoy entertainment for kids including trick-or-treating, face painting, magic shows, canine performances and more. Admission is FREE.

Purina Farms Trunk or Treat

October 22nd 11am – 1pm

Join us at the 2nd annual Trunk or Treat, especially for the whole family, including the dog! This one-of-a-kind event takes place on October 22 between 11a.m. – 1p.m. and features candy for the kids and treats for the dogs. Grab goodies from more than 30 different decorated trunks as well as enjoy games, face-painting and meeting adoptable dogs. Plus, each trunk-or-treater can cast a vote for the best decorated trunk, with the winners taking home traveling trophies. The event is open to kids ages 12 and under, and, of course, dogs. The cost is $5 per child ages 3-12. Children under 3 are free. Tickets must be pre-purchased. Please bring your own bag. Walk-ups will not be accepted on the day of the event. Note: Toys and appropriate snacks will be provided for those with food sensitivities.

Thies Farm

Will open October 1. Throughout the entire month of October our farms are transformed into “PUMPKINLAND” a farm-fun, pumpkin-powered play area.

Pumpkinland is open Tuesday-Sunday throughout the month of October at both the Maryland Heights and North Hanley locations. The farm markets at all three locations are still open 7 days a week.

General Admission

Pumpkinland is general admission only on weekends. Parties and groups are welcome on Saturdays and Sundays but are not eligible for group rates. Party areas are available free of charge but tables cannot be reserved in advance, it’s a first come, first-served basis. General admission includes access to the whole Pumpkinland play area, petting zoo, corn maze and wagon ride. Concessions, face painting, pumpkin decorating, pony rides and a corn cannon are available on weekends only for an extra charge.

Brookdale Farms Corn Maze

The Corn Maze is the largest maze area in St. Louis. Whether you’re looking to set up a class field trip or a family outing, this is the place to be for outdoor fall fun!

Science Center Science Spooktacular Camp-In

Friday, October 28, 2016 – 5:00pm to Saturday, October 29, 2016 – 10:00am

Enjoy a Halloween costume contest, “creepy” chemistry and all of the standard camp-in activites. Every camp-in includes dinner, snack and breakfast, plus a film in the OMNIMAX Theater, an interactive Amazing Science Demonstration, a Planetarium Show, free rein of the Science Center galleries, and – of course – the chance to camp at the Science Center. Suitable for ages 6 and up, each camp-in requires one adult chaperone for every five campers. Cost: Members pay $45 per person; non-Members pay $50 per person.

Tricks & Treats on Park – Lafayette Square:

7th Annual Tricks and Treats on Park Children and Pet Halloween Party sponsored by the Lafayette Square Business Association! Kids can trick or treat at local Lafayette Square businesses – just look for the poster in the window of participating businesses. And there will be delicious treats for your four-legged friends, too! Games at the Plaza Fountain. Pet and children’s costume contests and Parade at 12:30 PM.

Fall Family Hayride with Country Music- Creve Coeur (All Ages)

Join us for a special evening at Creve Coeur Park. Enjoy music, marshmallows and hot chocolate. These hayrides are for people of all abilities, a ramp assisted hay wagon will be available. Lawn chairs are welcome; music starts at 6:30pm. Due to limited space on the ramp accessible wagon, those needing accommodations should call only 314 615-8480 to make arrangements. Meet at White-Tail Deer Shelter to enjoy Lone Elk Park like never before. Ride a hay wagon through this beautiful setting and spot Elk, Deer and other wildlife. Later you can warm up by the fire, roast marshmallows and listen to live music. See if you can pick out the sounds of Elk bugling in the distance. Meet at Mustang Shelter to enjoy Greensfelder Park under the stars. You’ll ride a haywagon through this beautiful afternoon & evening setting. Fall Harvest Fest in Jefferson Barracks/Hayrides, Live Music, Food Trucks, Winery (All Ages)

Fall is in the air with crisp cool nights and crackling bonfires. In store for you is a fun filled evening with Live Music, Bonfires to warm by, Food Trucks & Winery with a variety of good eats and drinks for purchase. Kettle corn popped hot on the spot and continuous hayrides around the park. Parking is in the lot at the New Lemay Pavilion (305 Gregg Rd.) with a short walk to the open cantonment field. Purchase tickets in advance on the web, $10 per person ages 2 and up (everyone must have a ticket for the hayrides.) Sorry no coolers. Dress warm as October can be chilly, a lawn chair is suggested. The Great Candy Exchange – Delta Dental Health Theatre

Sunday November 6th

Delta Dental Health Theatre’s Great Candy Exchange is growing every year. Children are invited to hand in their unopened Halloween candy in exchange for chances to win prizes and do fun, healthy activities. There will be balloons, face painters, performances, healthy snacks and giveaways. Our 7th annual Great Candy Exchange will take place on Sunday, Nov. 6 th , at HealthWorks! Kids’ Museum St. Louis 1100 Macklind Ave St. Louis, MO 63110. Last year’s event brought in over 600 adults and children from all over the greater metropolitan area and we collected over 3,300 lbs of candy at the event and from school groups. All candy was donated to our Troops through the USO of Missouri. This year we plan to see over 1,000 guests and collect over 5,000 pounds of candy.
