Beginning today, the Mayo Lounge will be open A & B Blocks. Mrs. Valdez will be there to open the doors right after the passing of classes. Starting next week, it will be open A & B and D & E blocks every day, and closed during C Block.

Attention CURRENT and NEW National Honor Society members!The mandatory meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, February 20th at 8:00am. New members will meet in Fuller Basement. The current membership will meet in Fuller Hall. Please see Mrs. McCaffrey with any questions or if you have a conflict.

The registration deadline for the March 11th TOEFL is Friday, February 17th. That's TOMORROW. Interested students must register in the Guidance Office. Please see Mrs. McCaffrey with any questions.

Reminder that the Relay for Life team will be meeting in Ms. Meranze's room NH12 tomorrow morning at 7:20. Here is a chance to get involved in something bigger than yourself. All are welcome, see you there!

Was this the year that your knack for knowing endless amounts of info about everything led you to find romance on Valentine's Day? Probably not, huh? Don't worry because there is more to life than finding romance, such as homework, looking cool, watching season #2 of "Fuller House," and taking part in the Winter Carnival Trivia Contest next Thursday at 4:30 in the Mayo Lounge. Your trivia skills can lead to Winter Carnival glory!

Some walk by a pile of snow and see a pile of snow. Some walk by a pile of snow and see a lot of people hanging out. Be sure that next week after school you see yourself hanging out with your classmates transforming your pile of snow into a Ben and Jerry's inspired creation. Snow Sculptures will be judged at 1 on Friday, February 24.

This evening, the full slate of Academy Theatre's Winter One-Act Plays will be performed, starting with "Scuba Lessons", a romantic comedy, directed by Jaime DeKett, followed by "Things Fall (Meanwhile)", an exploration into the consequences of our actions, directed by Lily Sullivan. The evening will close with "The Brothers Grimm Spectathalon", a comedic romp that tells all of Grimms' Fairy Tales in less than an hour, directed by Kyle Morrissey. The performances start at 7pm and will end shortly after 10pm. On Friday and Saturday, only the final two plays will be performed. Tickets are on sale at the door. Check the posters for details! We hope to see you there!

Yesterday's NJCL informational meeting will now take place after school in C309. Please see or e-mail Mrs. Callanan if you can't attend, but would like to.

Wednesday evening, Feb. 22nd, start off your pre-vacation and pre-winter carnival celebration by joining the combined Acting Classes for an evening of comedy!Acting Two, Three and Advanced Art in Acting Students will perform short scenes from modern comedies and will reach back to the funny man, Anton Chekhov to perform "The Marriage Proposal". Join us next Wednesday at 7 pm in the Stuart Black Box in the Morse Fine Arts Center. Admission is free and all are welcome. Laughter is the best medicine and might even fend off the nasty tummy flu!

Scholars' Bowl meets tomorrow after school in C309. Join us for competition and cookies!

Come join the Outing Club on its 2nd ice climbing adventure! The trip is this coming Saturday, February, 18th. The bus will leave Brantview drive at 7:00am. Come to see Mr. Holden in Streeter 251 for details.

Interested in hacking the mainframe? Well, it might not be the mainframe, but the Coding Club will be participating the online hacking/cybersecurity contest, EasyCTF. The challenges presented are designed to be hacked, making it an excellent and legal way for you to get some great hands-on experience. If you are interested, come to Coding Club today, Thursday, in SV 18. If you can't make today's meeting, but want to be on a team, see Ms. Laverty ASAP.

During Winter Break, there will be a lifeguarding class offered on February 27, 28 and March 1. We will be in need of guards this Spring for the Academy pool, as well as Summer job positions in the area. If you are interested, please stop by the pool office for more details.

Tomorrow night, at the Catamount Outback Artspace, there will be a Jumping into a Jam Workshop for all ages. Tips related to joining a jam will be the focus of this interactive workshop. If you are interested, stop down or call Catamount Arts to register.
