Scottish gamers are uniting for a series of 24 hour gaming marathons starting today in aid of Sick Kids Save Point, an annual charity event to raise funds for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation based in Scotland.
The Sick Kids Friends Foundation was set up in 1992 to support the work of the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh. The Hospital receives over 100,000 children through its doors each year from all over the East of Scotland and every year the Sick Kids Save Point takes place to help provide the extra comforts, medical equipment and funding for the Hospital.
For those of you who wish to donate to any of the very tired Scots who are battling through a 24 hour gaming marathon for this fantastic cause, here’s a rundown of some of this year’s fundraisers:

You can watch most of the madness unfold via the Sick Kids Save Point live stream courtesy of our fine friends at Calm Down Tom. We’d highly recommend tuning in at around 3am as this is usually when madness sets in.
Whilst the StickTwiddlers team aren’t able to take part this year, we wish all this year’s Sick Kids Save Point fundraisers the very best of luck. We know how bloody hard a gaming marathon can be!
You can find out more about the event over on the Sick Kids Save Point website and keep up to date with the marathon on Twitter by following @SKsavepoint.
