ST. GEORGE – As part of some of the great new changes that are coming to KCSG-Television, President and CEO Corbin Wade announced Monday the station will launch a new program lineup aimed at clean, family friendly entertainment that highlights the “Heroes and Icons” we have all come to know and love.

“Change is never easy,” Wade said. “But we are confident that the new programming schedule will be sure to create quality entertainment experiences for existing viewers, while opening up opportunities to excite a whole new audience, as well.”

Wade said the decision to switch from ME-TV to the Heroes and Icons network was not one that came easily for the staff at KCSG-TV, but the importance of providing excellent and exclusive programming to their viewers made the choice a necessary one.

As KCSG-TV moves forward into a new chapter, Wade said the promise to provide up-to-date, local information to fans across the state and within the tri-state of Southern Utah, Nevada and Arizona would not waver.

“There are some really exciting new things happening around here,” Wade said, “and these changes are going to help propel the station forward as we continue to grow so that we can best meet the needs of the public.”

Marketing Director Splendor Sargent said – starting now – KCSG-TV is making a commitment to Southern Utah residents to begin airing local high school football games, helping create greater connections between communities and sports.

“We also want to begin to incorporate the local news in Southern Utah in the future,” she said. “We want to be more local and get more deeply involved with the community.”

KCSG-TV, Your Window to Southern Utah, can be found on the following channels statewide: Baja Cable, 86 and 87; Southern Utah Cable, 6; Comcast Cable, 116; Broadcast television, 14, 16; DISH Network, 37; DIRECTV, 44; Mesquite, 6.

The new lineup that first aired on Sept. 29 is jam-packed with storylines that are rich with heroic figures and iconic stars.

Some of the exciting new programming viewers can expect includes: “The Adventures of Superman,” “Batman,” “Wagon Train,” “The Untouchables,” “Comedy Icons,” “Detective Icons,” “Mystery Hunters” and “The Invisible Man.”

A complete lineup of the programming on the Heroes and Icons Network on KCSG-TV, including dates and times, can be found online.
