In the past week, Stewart’s Shops donated $92,102 to 44 organizations in our communities. These donations included $2,987 in product, $2,515 in gift certificates, and $86,600 in monetary support.
For many years, Stewart’s Shops has been giving back more than $2 million annually to our shops’ communities and neighborhoods. Part of that commitment includes matching our customers’ donations of nearly ¾ million dollars during our Holiday Match campaign. The Dake Family foundations also contribute $2 million of Stewart’s stock to local charities each year. The corporation buys the stock back from the charities. This benefits Stewart’s employees by increasing their percentage of ownership to nearly 40%.
