Every girl loves a treat, it's in our nature to feel confident when we've had our hair, makeup and nails messed around with, and what better way than to support a local salon and bring the community back into seeing beauticians, the professionals of femininity. I headed down to Poize Salon to try out their famous eyelash extensions. With London Fashion Week merely days away and one busy schedule ahead of me, I felt like I deserved a little treat!
Poize, based in Liverpool are the newest boutique salon, offering services to the North-Western at affordable prices, the girls in here are absolute angels, so very down to earth and generous! Something I wish I saw in more salons today. The trained team offer up hair, beauty and nail treatments. The kind of place where you can walk out with a massage, long lashes, groomed eyebrows and some gorgeous nails.
Located very close to city centre for those who want to hit the shops after being spruced up!

The decor in this place is like walking into a beautiful pink palace, oozing femininity with all the comforts and rich royal fabrics with a black and pink colour scheme (kudos!) You feel right at home, and in trustful hands with the experienced technicians. Let me walk you through what happened that day!
Upon arrival I was greeted and offered up a drink or their 'Poizon', I arrived early on Valentines Day so I could show off my look over dinner and impress people, so opted for a Latte, although the range of beverages had me itching for a lovely glass of Rose*!
I had a chat with the ladies and was being shown upstairs to the treatment room. I was told it could take up to 2 hours and to make myself comfortable and if I had any queries or questions then would be the ideal time to ask. A few days before I came in for a allergy test, as I opted for eyelash extensions, this salon takes pride in not skipping corners on the health and care of their customers.
The eyelash extensions themselves seem very high quality, and have lasted me a few days whilst I furiously rub my eyes (ruthless when I remove make-up) Sadly I've had to switch up my make-up remover to a none oil based product as this can be used in the removing of the eyelashes when they come to the end of their life-span which can be up to 8 weeks.
They are a great way of finding the perfect lash without the maintenance of mascara or smudging. They give me confidence walking around without makeup on and make my complexion seem more even whilst my eyes looking wide 24/7. Unlike stick on eyelashes they do not damage your existing lashline from the adhesive and I can definitely see this being a regular commute to get them done, the benefits of how great and natural they look have had me receive many compliments, even in the street!
After my treatment and letting my eyes adjust to the light, I proceeded back to the room I was greeted and had a full face of make up put on, primarily MAC, which is always reliable! Jordan the girl who applied it walked me through each step so I could re-create it myself, and my boyfriend was very happy with my appearence for dinner that Valentines Day night
