The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA) is now less than a month away. Press events will be held on 15 and 16 September, and a slew of European debuts and world premieres are to happen during these two days. Here’s a list of all the models debuting at the German motor show. It will be updated during the coming weeks as and when new information arrives.

Alfa Romeo

Alfa Romeo Giulia



Alfa Romeo unveiled the Giualia Quadrifoglio in June 2015. Both standard and Quadrifoglio variants are likely to be unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The high performance variant packs a Ferrari-tuned 510 hp V6 turbocharged petrol engine that makes it capable of reaching 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Following the world premiere in Frankfurt, the Giulia will go on sale in Europe later this year and in North America next year.

Audi

Audi A4



The fifth generation 2016 Audi A4 saloon and A4 Avant will have their world premiere at the 2015 IAA. The larger, more premium and efficient new generation A4 saloon and A4 Avant will go on sale in Europe later this year. In Germany, the 2016 A4 saloon and 2016 A4 Avant has been priced from €32,950 and €36,900, respectively. The U.S. and Canada will get the new A4 (B9) for MY2017. Also, the all-new S4 saloon and S4 Avant are expected to have their world debut too.

Audi Q6 e-tron concept



Audi’s forthcoming all-electric “Sports Activity Vehicle” that arrives in production guise in early 2018, will be previewed by a concept version at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year. The production version will be based on the Volkswagen Group’s second generation modular longitudinal platform (MLB 2) and have a range of more than 500 km. Its battery will be developed with cell modules sourced from South Korean companies LG Chem and Samsung SDI.

Audi S8 Plus

A more powerful version of the Audi S8, the Audi S8 Plus, will be unveiled at the 2015 IAA. It sports an uprated version of the standard S8’s twin-turbo V8 engine, good for 605 PS (597 hp) and 750 Nm of torque. It will become available for pre-order in the UK in October.

Audi R8 e-tron piloted driving concept

The Audi R8 e-tron piloted driving concept that was unveiled at CES Asia 2015 in May, is likely to have its European debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The show car is an autonomous version of the R8 e-tron that was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March.

Bentley

Bentley Bentayga

The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show will mark a new milestone for Bentley’s illustrious history. The Gaydon-based luxury automaker will unveil its first-ever production-spec SUV, the Bentley Bentayga, at the German motor show. It could also be the first Bentley to offer a diesel option, as reports suggest that the Bentayga’s engine choices will include a diesel one. A plug-in hybrid powertrain is also in the cards.

BMW

BMW 7 Series

The sixth generation (G11/G12) 2016 BMW 7 Series was unveiled in June, ahead of its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It’s priced from €81,900 in Germany, £64,530 in the UK and US$81,300 in the USA. The global range of the next generation 7 Series consists of 15 variants, which are differentiated by drivetrain (xDrive all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive), powertrain choices (petrol, diesel and petrol-electric plug-in hybrid), wheelbase (standard wheelbase version and long-wheelbase version) and equipment level.

BMW X1

The second generation BMW X1 was also revealed in June, and will have its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show and go on sale in Germany in October. The next generation model debuts the front-wheel drive setup in BMW’s X range, thanks to the UKL platform. An xDrive all-wheel drive will also be available for higher variants. Initially, the range will comprise of two petrol and three diesel engine options, and will include six models. Prices start from €32,900 in Germany, £28,330 in the UK and US$34,800 in the USA.

BMW 3 Series

BMW will also present the facelifted 2016 BMW 3 Series at the German motor show. Apart from cosmetic and other minor changes, the facelifted 3 Series range adds a new plug-in hybrid model – 330e. The first-ever 3 Series Plug-in Hybrid’s powertrain comprises a 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo (B48) four-cylinder petrol engine and an eDrive electric motor. With the facelift, the 335i has been replaced by 340i. It can be had with xDrive all-wheel drive system also. The 340i and 340i xDrive sport BMW TwinPower Turbo inline-six cylinder petrol engine produces 240 kW (326 hp) and 450 Nm of torque.

BMW 3 Series Plug-in Hybrid

The BMW 3 Series Plug-in Hybrid is based on the facelifted 3 Series. Its plug-in hybrid powertrain comprises of a 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine and an eDrive electric motor. The plug-in hybrid powertrain produces 248 hp and 420 Nm of torque. Full specifications will be revealed at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The electrified variant will be sold as the BMW 330e.

BMW 2 Series Active Tourer Plug-in Hybrid

The BMW 2 Series Active Tourer Plug-in Hybrid’s powertrain consists of a 1.5-litre TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder petrol engine and an eDrive electric motor. It can be driven in pure electric mode for up to 41 km on full charge. The plug-in hybrid variant will be sold as the BMW 225xe.

BMW M6 GT3

The BMW M6 GT3 replaces the Z4 GT3. Of course, it won’t be road-legal either. The GT racing version sports a 4.4-litre V8 M TwinPower Turbo engine that generates up to 585 hp, depending on the classification. After all necessary modifications, including the welded FIA-approved safety cell, the car weighs less than 1,300 kg. Priced at €379,000, the race version of the BMW M6 will become available for purchase to teams from 15 September. North American pricing will be announced later.

Borgward

Borgward crossover

Borgward is a German automaker that recently revived after an absence of over 50 years. The company will begin afresh with a crossover debuting at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Financially backed by Chinese commercial vehicle company Beiqi Foton, Borgward is now headed by Ulrich Walker, former Chairman and CEO of Daimler Northeast Asia at Daimler AG.

Bugatti

Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept

The Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept previews the Veyron successor. Developed as a virutal concept in cooperation with Polyphony Digital, a subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment, the Vision GT will be presented in 1:1 scale in Frankfurt, and available for download on the popular PlayStation video game franchise Gran Turismo. The production version is said to debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March.

Citroen

Citroen C4 Cactus M concept

The C4 Citroen Cactus M concept is an open-air crossover concept finished in Hawaii Blue colour, and is inspired by the 1968 Citroen Mehari. It’s based on the C4 Cactus and takes some inspiration from the C4 Aircross concept that was unveiled at the 2015 Auto Shanghai in April.

Citroen C1 Urban Cross

The Citroen C1 Urban Cross concept that was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 2014 is said to arrive in production guise at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The production version isn’t expected to be very different to the standard C1 in terms of technical aspects. The Urban Cross variant will be mainly about crossover-like, rugged styling and compete with the Opel/Vauxhall Adam Rocks.

Dacia

Dacia Duster

The Dacia Duster will be updated for MY2016 with the addition of Euro 6-compliant powertrain options and more equipment.

[Dacia will also introduce the new Easy-R automated manual transmission at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA). It will be offered for the first time on the Logan, Logan MCV, Sandero and the Sandero Stepaway.]

DS

DS 4

The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA) will stage debut of the facelifted DS 4. With the facelift, the compact hatchback gets itself rid of the Citroen branding and adopts the newly formed premium brand’s familiar styling. Both exterior and interior have been refreshed to make the car more premium.

DS 4 Crossback

The DS 4 Crossback is a jacked-up facelifted DS 4. The 30 mm taller, crossover-styled version aims to appeal the B-segment crossover buyers who want an urban rugged & sporty vehicle. It features extensive usage of black colour on the exterior elements including the distinctive wheels, aluminum finish roof rails and a more premium interior.

Ferrari

Ferrari 488 Spider

Ferrari will take wraps off the 488 Spider, the successor to the 458 Spider, and essentially a convertible version of the 488 GTB. Like its predecessor, it will feature a retractable hard top. The same 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine from the coupe will follow, offering 492 kW (660 hp) and 760 Nm of torque.

Fiat

Fiat 500

Fiat will introduce its facelifted 500 hatchback at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Officially revealed online on 3 July, the facelifted model features at least “1,800 changes”. The partially redesigned model goes on sale in the UK in October 2015.

Hyundai

Hyundai i20 Active

The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show will stage the official debut of the Euro-spec Hyundai i20 Active. Apart from visual modifications, the rugged variant features an increase in ground clearance by 20 mm. It should go on sale in Europe early next year.

Hyundai Santa Fe (facelift)

Hyundai will unveil the facelifted Euro-spec Santa Fe at 2015 IAA. The new model was unveiled as the ‘Santa Fe Prime’ in home market South Korea in June. The facelift brings more stylish design, new body paint options, refreshed interior including updated/new equipments, new safety & assistance features The Euro-spec version can will go on sale for MY2016, likely by the end of the year.

Hyundai “Vision G” Coupe Concept

The Hyundai “Vision G” Coupe Concept that had its public debut at the 65th Annual Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance, will have its motor show and European debut in Frankfurt next month.

Infiniti

Infiniti Q30

The Infiniti Q30 will arrive in production guise at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. It will be the Nissan owned-luxury brand’s first model mainly targeting European markets. It will also be the brand’s first model to be made in Europe, with production set to happen in Nissan’s Sunderland plant.

Jaguar

Jaguar F-Pace

Jaguar F-Pace, the first production crossover from the brand, will have its world premiere at the 2015 IAA. It will be based on the Lightweight Aluminium Architecture modular platform. The base models should be powered by 2.0-liter Ingenium engines.

Kia

Kia Sportage

The Kia Sportage will enter into its fourth generation at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 15 September. The company says that the all-new model “features a bold, progressive design, which exudes power and agility from every angle”. It has been designed at the brand’s European design centre located in Frankfurt.

Kia Optima

The fourth generation Kia Optima (Kia K5) that had its world premiere at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in April, will have its European debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The all-new model will likely be previewed by a sportier ‘GT’ variant.

Lamborghini

Lamborghini Aventador LP-750-4 Superveloce Roadster

The Lamborghini Aventador LP-750-4 Superveloce Roadster had its elegant world premiere at ‘The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering’ in California, USA and will have its European debut in Frankfurt next month. The SV variant is priced from €357,000 (excluding VAT) or US$530,075 MSRP.

Mercedes

Mercedes C-Class Coupe

The new generation 2016 Mercedes C-Class Coupe that was revealed last week will have its world premiere at the the Frankfurt Motor Show and go on sale in first markets in December. Four petrol and two diesel engine options will be offered globally.

Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet

To the surprise of many, the Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet will have its world premiere at the German motor show. Its European sales should commence in early 2016. The luxury cabriolet will be revived after 44 years of absence.

Mercedes GLC-Class

The Mercedes GLC-Class that replaces the GLK-Class will have its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. For the first time, a right-hand drive version will also be offered, further increasing its outreach. Two diesel and two petrol engine options will be offered globally and 9-speed automatic transmission will be standard. It goes on sale in Europe in September and in the UK in October. Sales in the U.S. and Australia will commence in November and December respectively.

Mercedes SLC-Class

The SLK-Class will receive a facelift and get its name changed to SLC-Class as per the company’s new nomenclature system. The facelift is said to feature design and styling inspired from the C-Class and S-Class among a host of other changes including technical ones.

Mercedes A-Class

The facelifted Mercedes A-Class range that was revealed in June, will also have its motor show debut in Frankfurt next month. The facelifted model is already available to pre-order in the first markets, for which the deliveries will commence at the end of next month.

Mercedes V-Class

The Frankfurt Motor Show this year will host official debut of the Mercedes V-Class AMG Line. Like the other AMG Line models, the V-Class AMG Line will feature styling tweaks and additional equipment usually offered on the Mercedes-AMG models.

Mini

Mini Clubman

The second generation Mini Clubman that was revealed in June this year, will have its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Based on the UKL-platform that also underpins the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, the all-new model is completely redesigned inside-out and is very practical for people who want stylish estates.

Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

The facelifted 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will have its European debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA). The new Outlander PHEV will go on sale in Europe this month itself.

Nissan

Nissan crossover concept

Nissan will unveil a new crossover concept at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA). The concept’s name or any other detail hasn’t been revealed yet. The only known fact is that it will be a crossover. A possibility is that the concept would preview Nissan’s vision of the second generation Juke.

Opel

Opel Astra

The fifth generation Opel Astra that was revealed in June, will be the GM-owned German brand’s latest hatchback to world premiere in Frankfurt next month. The all-new model is 200 kg lighter.

Opel Astra Sports Tourer

The 2016 Opel Astra Sports Tourer, estate version of the fifth-gen 2016 Astra hatchback, will also debut at the German motor show. The new generation model will be lighter and offer a 1,630 litres of luggage space. 40:20:40 seat configuration and kick-activated self opening and closing tailgate are among the number of noteworthy features that will be offered on the all-new model.

Opel Vivaro Surf Concept

The Opel Vivaro Surf Concept is a lifestyle-oriented mid-size light commercial vehicle based on the new generation Vivaro. Offering space for up to six passengers with its crew cab, the concept van is an ideal vehicle for those who need a large passenger car but do not want to miss out on the comfort and premium feeling of a regular passenger car. Opel says that the concept is close-to-production and could soon go into production.

Peugeot

Peugeot 308 GTi

The Peugeot 308 GTi will have its official motor show debut in Frankfurt next month. The high performance variant sports a 1.6-litre THP Stop&Start (S&S) four-cylinder petrol engine developed by in-house performance division Peugeot Sport. It can be had in two outputs – 250 hp and 270 hp. A 6-speed manual transmission sends power to the front wheels.

Fractal concept

The Peugeot Fractal concept is an electric convertible coupe in a compact size designed to suit urban driving. It is powered by two electric motors and has a maximum range of 450 km.

Porsche

Porsche 911 991.2

The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA) will host the world premiere of the facelifted Porsche 911. The mid-cycle update, apart from styling revisions and new turbocharged engine options, is said to bring the latest generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) touchscreen infotainment system and an updated interior too. Moreover, it gains the new multi-function steering wheel design from the Porshe 918 Spyder.

Renault

Renault Talisman

The Renault Talisman saloon will have its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The saloon version has already been unveiled to the media. It will go on sale in Europe later this year.

Renault Talisman Estate

The Renault Talisman Estate, the estate version of the Talisman saloon, will also have its world premiere at the German motor show. It features the same exterior dimensions and design and styling, but offers a maximum luggage space of 1,700 litres. It also offers two new features: integrated ventilation and ‘Cover Carving Technology’.

Renault Megane

The Renault Megane will enter its fourth generation at the next month. The all-new model will be based a version of the Renault Nissan Alliance ‘s CMF (Common Module Family) platform – CMF-C/D. Spy shots strongly hint that the design and styling will be borrowed from the Talisman.

Renault Alaskan Concept

The Renault Alaskan Concept previews a future production pickup truck that will be targeted at the global markets. It will be sold in Europe and possibly in Australia and New Zealand too.

Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce Dawn

The Rolls-Royce Dawn is essentially the convertible version of the Wraith. The BMW Group-owned British luxury brand has already previewed the open-top version to the its 130 dealers at the 2015 Rolls-Royce World Dealer Conference in Los Angeles in May. The Dawn will be powered by the same 6.6-litre V12 engine as the Wraith. The twin-turbo engine produces 624 bhp and 800 Nm of torque on the coupe.

Skoda

Skoda Superb Combi

The estate version of the third generation Skoda Superb will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show and go on sale later this year in Europe.

Skoda Superb GreenLine (hatchback/Combi)

Skoda Superb GreenLine features an 88 kW (118 hp) 1.6 TDI turbo-diesel engine that offers a maximum range of up to 1,780 km. The fuel economy and CO2 emissions figures of the eco-friendly variant (hatchback version) are rated 27.03 km/l and 95 g/km respectively. These figures have been achieved by revisions to the engine and gearbox technology, provision of low-resistance tyres and aerodynamic enhancements.

Skoda Superb SportLine (hatchback/Combi)

The Skoda Superb SportLine will also be having its world premiere in Frankfurt this month. Both hatchback and estate versions will be offered with all petrol and diesel engines except the base ones. Noteworthy features include black 18- and 19-inch alloy wheel options, tinted rear side windows and back window (sunset), a 15 mm lower sport chassis, three-spoke sports steering wheel and gear knob finished in leather, sports seats with exclusive seat covers, aluminum finish pedals and carbon trim elements.

Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo

The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo will also have its world premiere at the German motor show this month. The Czech automaker’s sixth Monte Carlo model sports 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels, black finished radiator grille frame, ORVM housings, front and rear spoilers, doorsills and rear diffuser, Monte Carlo badge on B pillars, three-spoke sports steering wheel in leather, individual sports seats and many such sporty modifications/additions.

Skoda Rapid Spaceback ScoutLine

The Skoda Rapid Spaceback ScoutLine will have its motor show debut in at the 2015 IAA this month. The adventure variant features black and silver spoilers, black panelling around the sills and wheel arches, silver 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels and silver door mirror housings.

Skoda Fabia R5 Combi

The Skoda Fabia R5 Combi is the estate version of the brand’s new rally car – Skoda Fabia R5. Unveiled at Worthersee 2015 in May, the R5 Combi sports a distinctive green-white-black finish and 18-inch alloy wheels, and is powered by a 205 kW (279 hp) 1.6-litre turbocharged engine.

Smart

Smart ForTwo Cabrio

The Smart ForTwo Cabrio,a  convertible version of the ForTwo, has been spotted several times testing undisguised and is said to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

Subaru

Subaru Levorg GT

The Subaru Levorg GT goes on sale next month in the UK. It is likely to be introduced for Europe at the Frankfurt Motor Show before that.

SsangYong

SsangYong Tivoli (diesel)

The SsangYong Tivoli diesel will have its European debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. It’s powered by a 1.6-litre XDi160 diesel engine that produces 84.6 PS (83 hp) and 300 Nm of torque. Transmission options include 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.

Suzuki

Suzuki Baleno

The Suzuki Baleno is the production version of the iK-2 concept that was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March. The engine options of the company’s more upmarket and Europe-focused VW Polo-rival will include a newly developed 1.0-litre BoosterJet direct injection turbocharged petrol engine. It will go on sale in the UK early next Summer.

Toyota

Toyota HiLux

The eighth generation Toyota HiLux that was unveiled in May, will have its European debut at the 2015 IAA. In Australian specification, the all-new model gains a new 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that develops up to 450 Nm of torque and a new 2.4-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces up to 400 Nm of torque.

Volkswagen

Volkswagen Tiguan

The second generation VW Tiguan will have its world premiere in Frankfurt next month and replace the current seven-year-old PQ35-based model. The all-new model will be based on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform and is said to go on sale in Europe in early 2016.

Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet

Volkswagen will unveil the facelifted 2016 Golf Cabriolet at the German motor show. The new Golf Cabriolet gets revised exterior and interior and more customisation options. The facelifted model gains some new technologies also.
