I would love if 2017 was the year that all of my readers invested in themselves. Don’t resist the idea – you are totally worth it. Each and every one of you. Like me, you’re probably long in the habit of putting yourself last. I know what it is like to pinch pennies and stick to a budget, but sometimes we need to spend a little on really worthwhile things. And nothing is more worthwhile than YOU.

What could you invest in for your own personal growth or the growth of your blog or business? In what ways could you spend money that will make you a better wife or mother? How could you invest in your own self care so you are healthier, less stressed and more relaxed? If you’re stuck for ideas, you came to the right place! I have 17+ ways to invest in YOU in 2017!  Make 2017 the year you put yourself first and let’s see what kind of amazing things happen as a result!

More Ideas …

Books! Reading is always a great investment. If you’re not sure what to read, check out one of these posts:

7 Money Books That Will Change How You View Life

16 Books to Read in 2016!

Unable to read physical books? Try listening to audiobooks – so great for busy moms or employees with long commutes! Try audible and get two free audiobooks!

Get Moving! The more you move your body, the happier and healthier you’ll be. This investment will vary depending on where you currently are in life. Sign up for a gym membership, invest in personal training sessions, or try a class you have always been curious about (cycling? cross fit? zumba?)! Treat yourself to new running shoes or workout clothes. Register for your first race or competitive sporting event! If you live somewhere with difficult winters, a worthwhile investment might be some at home workout equipment – a yoga mat, kettle bells, maybe even a treadmill? If you’re already a seasoned yogi, make 2017 the year you invest in yoga teacher certification!

Get Organized Planners are all the rage (at least in the blogosphere!). Treat yourself to a pretty new one and start getting your life and schedule in order. If you’ve been curious about bullet journaling as a form of planning, check out this beginner’s guide.

Gift of Time Invest in a service that will free you up to do more things you enjoy in life! This might be grocery delivery, meal delivery, a house cleaning service or babysitters/mother’s helpers. What could you accomplish in 2017 with an extra hour a week freed up in your schedule? Or how much more rested will you feel at the end of 2017 if you stressed less about housework or meal prep?

Make Memories Invest in the people you love most, in addition to yourself. Professional family photos come to mind, but so do family vacations and special experiences like going to a sporting event or show.

Pamper Yourself  Pretty self-explanatory! Manicure, pedicure, facial, a long overdue haircut, massage, full-on spa day (with or without your best girlfriends), whatever makes you feel beautiful and relaxed!

Wardrobe Upgrade! When you wear clothes that fit properly and look good you just feel … better! Are you in need of a few new wardrobe items? Maybe your body has changed after having babies or losing or gaining weight. You deserve to feel good NOW. Consider checking out a service like Stitch Fix, or find some beautiful new secondhand pieces via ThredUp.
