Discover First America Program - “Secrets of the Spanish Colonial Archives” marks the official debut of the Catholic Diocese digital archives developed by Professor Michael Francis of the University of South Florida in collaboration with Vanderbilt University. 9th Annual Florida Literary Arts “Other Words” Conference - This year’s conference focuses on “Writing Florida: The First 500 Years”. The weekend features panels, readings, workshops and an independent book fair, all focused around the unique literary landscape of historic and contemporary Florida. Veterans Day Weekend at Castillo de San Marcos - In honor of those who have served the U.S. military, the National Parks Service is offering free admission to the Castillo de San Marcos for the weekend. Veterans Day/Month at the World Golf Hall of Fame - This Saturday through Monday, Veterans and their dependents receive free admission to the World Golf Hall of Fame. Through the rest of November, all active duty military personnel and their dependents will receive free admission.
