We are looking for a Product Engineer, with strong technical skills and understanding of the development of web applications.
You must have the technical depth to be able to manage complex engineering projects and collaborate knowledgeably with our development team. You will bring past engineering and/or project management experience to track cross-functional development projects in an iterative, agile process that blends Scrum with XP.
We are looking for someone to bridge product management and engineering, continually monitor story progress and unblock issues as necessary, communicate real-time progress to the organization, and ensure efficiency.
Manage agile development process; including reviewing and prioritizing bugs, estimation, scheduling, demos and post-mortems.
Writes stories, technical requirements and acceptance criteria for new features on the site.
Creates wireframes and works with designer on finished designs for all stories
Acts as product owner for specific features and flows on the site.
Engineering Degree preferred
3+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a development organization releasing production software to users
Strong understanding of agile software development processes (XP, scrum, Kanban, etc)
Strong understanding of how software projects are estimated, tracked, and measured
Experience with story-management tools like Pivotal Tracker, Jira, etc
Experience providing project status reports to non-technical managers
Ability to track projects with dependencies that cross functions like application development, systems administration, database management, business operations
