Founded in 2013, Sparkline was created to provide companies with a strategic, transparent and practical approach to Digital Analytics. The founders, Vinny and Aleetza, spent over 20 years in Digital and Asia, working with Fortune 500 companies on Digital Strategy and Analytics. With many of these years spent at Google, they saw an opportunity to start a company which simplified data, made it accessible and most importantly actionable. Businesses who strive for these skills can access customers in more effective and relevant ways, which ultimately increases profitability and drives innovation.
Sparkline takes a business first strategy to customer engagement. Our team of ‘Sparks’ are highly qualified, passionate and strive to build partnerships that deliver results through creative and practical suggestions that have immediate impact on businesses while maintaining an agnostic approach to the industry, and integrity through transparency.
Sparkline is a boutique digital analytics consultancy focused on empowering clients with best-in-class web and mobile app data to aid in business transformation. We are building a suite of products to expose our expertise and knowledge at a global scale.
As Product Manager, you will support and guide Sparkline's engineering team in building a suite of big data SaaS solutions focused on web and mobile app analytics. You will focus on maximizing business value from these products.
This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to:
work on an emerging and innovative cloud-based product
learn about web and mobile app analytics
expand their skills around digital marketing and conversion rate optimisation
develop and strengthen business development skills
As a product manager you will contribute to 3 areas:
BUSINESS
The responsibility extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects.
You will also operate as a marketer, defining the go-to-market strategy, product positioning, key benefits, target customers, and digital marketing strategy.
You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. Have deeper understanding of the market, and finds innovative solutions for the broader market. Product Managers should be obsessed with optimising a product to achieve the business goals while maximising return on investment.
TECHNOLOGY
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company involved with Sparkline's product suite. You will work with engineers, technical integrators, analysts, and the Sparkline's Managing Partners to define product release requirements. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers. A product manager's key role is strategic, not tactical. The other organizations will support your strategic efforts; you won't be supporting their tactical tasks.
USER EXPERIENCE
You will be the voice of the customer inside the business and must be passionate about the user experience. You will become the company's expert on how people interact with the software suite (e.g., through user testing, surveys, analytics) and apply this knowledge in defining the product roadmap.
