7-29-2012 8Ball The big news is that the Deputy PM is back to work with broader powers. This to me means agreement. Pressure of questioning Maliki caused an agreement on the reform paper. The UNAMI extension must have come with a promise from Iraq to form the government by a certain time. The DFI fund sits in the MOF must be moved to CBI to be recognized as reserves. This is a primary responsibility of the CBI. As soon as the DFI makes it to the CBI the CBI will adjust the exchange rate from the MOF. I do believe RV season is between now and September.
7-29-2012 BGG everyone seems to be waiting on Talibani to either show up – or show himself (if he actually has been back for some time). There is a report out that he is delaying his return until after Rhamadan – another says he has meetings scheduled for next week. I personally suspect he is already in Iraq and will show soon.
7-29-2012 SWFloridaGuy There is a meeting today for the selection of the HCL. "The Oil & Energy Commission and the Legal Committee are meeting in the House of Representatives today for the selection of a HCL that is consistent with the Constitution." That's great to see versions of the HCL submitted for approval. Last year the GOI ratified the HCL draft and submitted it to Parliament. The GOI introduced some amendments which were then reviewed by the Energy Committee. The Commission on oil and energy decided the draft law of oil and gas had constitutional violations and moved to amend the bill to reach a suitable formula that would be agreed upon between the political blocs. The NA objected and postponed it until now. Also today, NA leader Jaafari said "they can resolve the problem of Defense and Interior Ministries within 2 weeks." If the political blocs reach a consensus on these issues (HCL & Ministers), that would be a huge step in the right direction for the GOI.

7-29-2012 Hammerman It is total BS that some people cashed in today in Houston. About 35 people in the USA have cashed in. About 75% were crooked politicians that bribed bankers. They got caught and their funds are now frozen until Nov 10th. I got a call from way up, way up, way up in the bank heading the RV and was told that HSBC sent word to UST all the necessary paperwork to process the RV. Send out their letters to all banks worldwide get prepared to imminent RV. Happen before Tuesday is the word on the street. It was supposed to happen by 10 pm central tonight [Saturday]; if not, then midnight tonight [Saturday]; if not, then by next Tuesday. They caught hackers in the system twice today.
7-29-2012 BellaGrits all is well as far as my intel goes...things are moving along swiftly at this point...you have every reason to feel confident you are in the right place in this speculative investment....note I say SPECULATIVE ...wow, I don't think anyone could argue that in the least!!! the intel is rather slow...as we are in a wonderful position...quiet is good...no roadblocks as far as my intel provides...timing, that's it. 7-29-2012 BGG "Head of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, a connection was between him and the Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani discussed the issue of preventing the Peshmerga security forces of the army and police from entering the crossing Vichabour..." This whole mess cannot be making Jaafari and Talibani happy. They both had their hearts set on a political solution and Maliki has continually made it hard on everyone. I will be curious as to the outcome next week. Jaafari and Maliki will meet, maybe Maliki and Talibani and there might even be a request sent to bring Maliki into Parliament. Intentionally starting a civil war (over personal interests) is sure to be an issue.
7-29-2012 SWFloridaGuy Iraq discloses designs for redenominated banknotes slated for July 2013. The Finance Committee received specimens of the new Iraq banknotes from the CBI. The specimens were of the 25, 50, 100, and 200 dinars. The committee urged the central bank to delay the introduction of the new currency from January 2013 to July 2013 to study all the aspects of the process. Other Iraqi media reports state that the new currency will be issued in denominations of 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, and 200 dinars for banknotes and 25, 50, 100, 250, and 500 fils, plus 1 and 2 dinars for coins.
