Two highly anticipated series — “The Legend of the Blue Sea” and “Midnight Diner” — are now on KBFD. Jun Ji-hyun, aka Gianna, is back after her successful drama “My Love from the Star” as a mermaid in “Blue Sea,” along with heartthrob Min Ho Lee. A classic Joseon-era love story, Jun is transported into the modern day to find her love once again. “The Legend of the Blue Sea” will start this week on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with repeat episodes Thursdays and Fridays.
“Shinya Shokudo” (“Midnight Diner”), by Yaro Abe, is a Japanese manga adapted to a TV series and film, and now has been adapted for a Korean TV series airing 10 p.m. Fridays on KBFD.
Kim Seung Woo plays a chef who creates meals for the midnight-to-7 a.m. oddball diners. Kim is a frequent visitor to Hawaii and an avid golfer.

>> Today, 6:30 p.m.: Gab-soon and Gab-dol break up over their families’ opposition. Jae-soon and the stepdaughters drift further apart. She invites her parents and aunt to her house for the first time.
>> Today, 7:45 p.m.: After seeing the state her children are in, Da-hae refuses to send the kids back home. Se-gye goes to comfort Gab-dol, and tells Gab-soon that Gab-dol has refrained from calling her to not make things harder.

>> Monday, 7:45 p.m.: In-soo tells Untouchable Intern Dong-joo to fetch him some coffee but he ignores him. Seo-jung watches on with curiosity. The ER is filled with wounded workers from a construction site and Seo-jung and Dong-joo argue over the triage list.
>> Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Dong-joo is given a chance to perform surgery on a high-risk VIP patient. He decides to take on the risky case and operate. Five years have passed and Seo-jung is shocked at how Dong-joo has changed.

Episodes 1 and 2
>> Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: In August 1598, in Heupgokjyun, Kangwondo province, Dam Young (played by Min Ho Lee) seeks hospitality at Yang’s residence. He notices a little pond in the inner residence and discovers a captured mermaid named Sim Chung. They lock eyes. Dam Young sympathizes with her and releases Sim Chung back to the sea, thus binding their fates.
>> Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: In the present day, con man Joon-jae (also Min Ho Lee) gives in to the mermaid, who’s been waiting for him, and brings her home. Sim Chung is fascinated by his laptop computer and all that surrounds her. Out of fury at being conned by Joon-jae’s gang, Jin-ok sends thugs to chase after him in Spain. Joon-jae and the mermaid end up as fugitives.

Episode 10 and 11
>> Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Hyun-ki drags Hae-ryung out after seeing her together with Ji-gun. Mi-soon is disappointed at seeing Sam-bong adore Woo-ri. Young-eun shows Hyun-ki photos of Ji-gun and Hae-ryung.
>> Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Man-ho urges Se-ri to forget him and start over. But Se-ri tells him she can never leave behind the baby. Hae-ryung complains of lethargy and not having an appetite, which causes Sook-nyo to assume she is pregnant.
