Last Minute Christmas Ideas

With the holidays just around the corner, the time to create beautiful holiday cards, tags, and home decor is running out. Thankfully Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Linda 
Yamamoto and Sylvie Drader have come to the rescue with some fabulous ideas using 
the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=132806&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=132806&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Stamp-a-tag Kit</a>. 
Linda is from Burlington, Ontario and has been a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator since April 2002! “I had fun creating this fir tree. The textured tags are held in place with <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=121003&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=121003&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Glimmer Brads</a> 
and I spritzed the tree with <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=118772&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=118772&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz</a>. Then I created a fancy 
“star” for the top of the tree with the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=132622&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=132622&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Gold Foil Sheets</a> and the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=125594&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=125594&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Rosette Die</a>. “For the most part, I tried to use all items that came with the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=132806&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=132806&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Stamp-a-tag Kit</a> to create 
these. The green ribbon I used on the left tag to make the tree is actually part of the 
packaging in the kit - I really didn’t let anything go to waste! <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=123125&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=123125&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Cherry Cobbler Baker’s 
Twine</a> formed into a circle looks like candy (especially if you coat it with <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=101055&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=101055&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Crystal Effects</a>) 
and Old Olive Baker’s Twine threaded through pierced holes creates a tree outline. I 
created an ombre effect on two of the tags and the plaid effect on the other is done 
using the ink spots directly onto the tag in a grid pattern. I love the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=132341&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=132341&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Winter Frost 
Designer Series Paper</a> and couldn’t resist using it to create a folded tree (from a 
punched circle). Tags like these are sure to let the recipient know that something good

“Once the gifting is over, the thanking begins…and this card is great for someone to 
whom you want to give LOTS of thanks. I rolled up a length of the Birch Paper Ribbon 
(found in the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=133463&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=133463&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Thankful Tablescape Kit</a>) to create a “dowel” to hang the various tags in a 
rainbow of colors. I adhered the dowel with <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=104294&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=104294&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Sticky Strip</a> so it would stay securely in

“These are fun and easy last minute holiday cards using the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=132340&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=132340&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Season of Style Designer 
Series Paper</a> which coordinates with the colors in the Stamp-a-Tag Kit. I made a 
Happy Christmas card with a custom envelope that I made from a simple rectangle of 
Designer Series Paper folded in thirds. The little envelope in front was created with <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=133774&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=133774&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Envelope Punch Board</a> and the image colored using a <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=102845&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas" src="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=102845&utm_source=stampin-up-blog&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=last-minute-christmas-ideas">Blender Pen</a> to pick up the ink 
from the Stampin’ Spots in the Stamp-a-tag Kit.”
