A wedding favor is a wonderful way to show your guests that you appreciate their attendance and is generally a small, inexpensive treat. While there is no specific guide as to what a favor should be, the one that is reminiscent of the season will lend to the overall tone of the wedding reception. We point you five ideas that embody the spirit of the fall season.

Leaf shaped cookies

Set the festive tone for your fall wedding with leaf shaped cookie favors at the guest tables. Order leaf cookies from a local bakery in various shapes and fall colors. Slip them into a cellophane bag and tie it with a matching ribbon. Have a colorful thank you message iced on the cookies or tie a simple note to the cellophane with a message to your guests.

Pumpkin seeds

Both for planting and eating, packets of pumpkin seeds are perfect for a rustic fall wedding. Purchase simple or autumn themed favor boxes and fill them with a packet of pumpkin seeds. Display these favor boxes on the table alongside orange or boo pumpkins in vintage vases as centerpieces.

Caramel Apples

Treat your guests to the classic fall indulgence- caramelized apples. Wrap them in individual cellophane and tie off with a ribbon that complements your wedding décor. A caramel apple is a tasty way to wow your guests.

Coffee or Tea

Capture the coziness of fall with pre packed coffee or tea packets. Pick up seasonal coffee or tea for your guests and dress up the packets with a beautiful fall color ribbon or raffia. You can also pop in cinnamon sticks under the ribbon and stick a leaf shaped tag with a thank you message.

Fall Candles

Candles favors are always a safe bet. Look for the ones with fall symbols such as acorns, leaves, or pumpkins. Alternatively, you can opt for plain candles with fall fragrance or colors such as a gel candle with the scent of cinnamon or with a hint of apples or pumpkins. Be sure to wrap each candle in a piece of tulle and adorn it with a coordinating ribbon.
