After a super-humid few days, a beautiful evening of clear skies and ideal temperatures feels like a treat from Mother Nature.

There are plenty of alfresco happenings on tap for the coming hours, too, so get out there and enjoy the weather.

The Oval hosts free fitness classes this evening, along with all of its regular offerings — beer garden, games, food trucks and more.

Spruce Street Harbor Park celebrates National Hammock Day tonight with brand-new hammocks, music and a 30-minute hammock time limit so everyone can take advantage of the popular seating.

Wednesday night in Center City means Center City Sips. Stop by any one of more than 80 bars participating in the happy hour promotion, which runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Enjoy $5 cocktails, $4 wine, $3 beer and half-price appetizers. Tonight, take it outside to places like Rosa Blanca Cafe at Dilworth Park, Uptown Beer Garden, M Restaurant at the Morris House Hotel and Independence Beer Garden.

Free fitness takes the spotlight tonight at The Oval as it hosts free yoga from 6 to 7 p.m., house party fitness from 6 to 7 p.m., kickboxing with CKO kickboxing from 7 to 8 p.m. and a learn to bike ride class from 6 to 8 p.m. For those looking for more sedentary fun, the beer garden will be open from 5 to 10 p.m., and food trucks will line the park until 10 p.m., too.

Old City Restaurant Week

Philadelphia's Old City neighborhood celebrates the salad days of summer with a week-long eating extravaganza Old City Restaurant Week. Select restaurants in the neighborhood will plate $15, $25 or $35 lunch and/or dinners. Participating restaurants include Old City standbys like Amada and Positano Coast and newer eateries like The Olde Bar (chef Jose Garces' newest restaurant) and Lucha Cartel.

University City Dining Days

The University City neighborhood hosts a restaurant week of its own this summer with deals at some of the neighborhood’s most popular eateries. Participating restaurants include Han Dynasty, City Tap House, Pod, coZara, Zavino University City and Distrito.

National Hammock Day at Spruce Street Harbor Park

The hammocks at Spruce Street Harbor Park are a hot commodity, and tonight, the pop-up park is celebrating National Hammock Day with a ton of fun tonight from 4 to 8 p.m. To celebrate, the park will install all-new hammocks in the newly dubbed Hayneedle Hammock Lounge, give away a free hammock via a photo contest and play "musical hammocks" to help everyone get the chance to hop in and relax. Every 30 minutes, all guests in hammocks will be expected to rotate (and reminded by security to do so) so everyone can enjoy the hammocks. Music from DJ Patty Pat will round out the fun.

Dinner and a Movie at Headhouse Shambles

The Wednesday night series begins with the Singing Fountain Farmers' Market, which starts at 3 p.m. Deals continue on the avenue at businesses like Cantina los Caballitos, Stogie Joe’s and Brigantessa until 8 p.m. Also along the avenue, visit the outdoor space at Le Virtu for live music, games, food and drinks for the East Passyunk Crossing Civic Association social from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
