Who’s ready get the ball rolling on another weekend in Philadelphia?
The just-launched Visit Philly Beer Garden Series continues this Friday, June 13 at Frankford Hall, and you’re invited.
After an awesome launch event at Morgan’s Pier last Friday, the new weekly happy-hour series visits Fishtown this Friday for week number two.
Running all summer long, the series pops up at one Philadelphia beer garden every Friday all the way through Friday, August 29. The pop-up happy hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m., and includes specials on food and local craft beer, as well fun and games led by the Visit Philly team.
This Friday, the series makes its first stop at Frankford Hall, the Starr Restaurants beer garden in Fishtown that helped get all of this beer garden action started a few years back.
The indoor/outdoor accommodations will come in handy, but a few rain drops won’t put a damper on happy hour since this week’s event is RAIN or SHINE.
From 4 to 7 p.m., score $4 pints of Frankford’s brand-spanking-new house beer, Frankford Hall’s Hopster Heff, and $4 pints of Victory Brewing Company's Summer Love Ale, a beer that took Visit Philadelphia's With Love, Philadelphia XOXO initiative from billboards to bottles with the ale launch in 2010.
Brewed by Allentown-based Fegley’s Brew Works exclusively for Frankford Hall, Frankford Hall’s Hopster Heff made its first appearance during Philly Beer Week, and Frankford will be pouring the hoppy Hefeweizen for only $4 just for happy hour.
All of Frankford’s other draft beers will be on happy hour, too, with half litres for $5 and litres for $10 and more.
Beyond these special brews, snack on $3 sausages and $2 Bavarian pretzels. Check out Frankford’s regular happy hour menu right here.
Plus, for all of those World Cup fans, look to the big television near the bar at Frankford for the 4 p.m. match between Spain and the Netherlands.
