First off, Frankford Hall plays host to a Nerd Nite collaboration with The Franklin Institute. Enjoy the mild temps at Fishtown’s resident beer garden while enjoying happy-hour pricing on food and drinks (during the entire event!), nerdy quizzo and Pompeii-themed discussions from seasoned professionals.
Both Chestnut Hill and the borough of Media present dinner deals as part of Restaurant Week (or Month, in Chestnut Hill’s case) promotions. Indulge in multi-course meals from a ton of restaurants in both areas.
The Kimmel Center opens its doors for free as it brings back its monthly Sittin’ In event. Enjoy live music from a local musician while enjoying cocktails created by Iron Chef Jose Garces.

• Sittin’ In at The Kimmel Center: This month, The Kimmel Center presents its monthly Sittin’ In event, an evening of free music and cocktails in Commonwealth Plaza. This week, local songstress Ebony Joi hosts the show for a night of sultry song in Commonwealth Plaza. Admission is completely free and cocktails from Iron Chef Jose Garces will be available on a pay as you go basis. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the music is slated for 9 p.m.

• Arsenic and Old Lace at the Walnut Street Theatre: The Walnut Street Theatre presents the seriously hilarious show, Arsenic and Old Lace to the stage this evening at 8 p.m. The classic tale tells the story of two elderly church-going sisters who are well known for charitable activities including’ lesser-known acts of kindness involves serving sad lonely men elderberry wine laced with poison. The sisters believe they’re committing acts of mercy by helping the men find everlasting peace, however, a visiting nephew who discovers their crimes thinks otherwise.
