All weekend long, downtown streets in and around Philadelphia come alive with First Friday happenings, food-centric events and late-summer festivals. (Photo by M. Kennedy for GPTMC)
Good news, Philadelphia, the September festivals have begun!
This weekend, the Fringe Festival, the WHYY Connections Festival, the Philadelphia Honey Festival, the Kennett Square Mushroom Festival, Feria del Barrio, Greenfest Philly and more festivals pop-up in and around Philadelphia. So, there’s lots of live music, giveaways, food truck fare and performances on tap for this weekend — it’s going to be a good one.
Plus it’s First Friday which means drink discounts, art openings and escalated merriment in multiple neighborhoods.
For an added bonus, the weather report is promising perfect festival weather — sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80s. Count us in.
