John Bud Elliott, 65, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 7:03 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, on his Warsaw property as the result of a tragic farm accident.

He was born Nov. 21, 1947, in Prestonburg, Ky., to Orval Elliott and Mary Belle (Stephens) Elliott. He attended Warsaw High School and on July 22, 1972, he married Linda Albertson in Warsaw.

John lived most of life in Kosciusko County after moving from Prestonsburg, Ky. He worked as a machinist with Dana Corporation in Syracuse, Ind., for 35 years retiring in 2004; he also farmed. He was a 4-H leader, a member of Francis Slocum Trail Riders and an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Misty (Joe) Rucker, Pierceton, Ind.; Mindy (Andy) Martin, Bluffton, Ind.; one granddaughter: Jalynn Rucker, at home; his special dog: Yoder; three brothers: James (Glenda) Elliott, Silver Lake, Ind. Bill (Dorothy) Elliott, Sidney, Ind.; Tomm Elliott, Liott, Tenn.; two sisters: Anna Blair, Warsaw; and Linda Justice, Warsaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Henry Elliott.

Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at the funeral home. Pastor William Whitaker of Warsaw Family Worship Center will officiate. Burial will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
