WABASH – The Honeywell Center is announcing the on sale date of several new shows. Tickets for “Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells,” Neal McCoy, Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, Mark Schultz, The Oak Ridge Boys Christmas Times A Comin’, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Holiday Pops and the Madrigal Dinner Theater go on sale at 8 a.m. this Friday, Aug. 23.
Based on the book by Barbara Park, the stage adaptation of “Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells” comes to the Honeywell Center at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24. It’s holiday time and everyone’s favorite first grader is back to celebrate! All of the students in Room One are happily creating the perfect holiday party. Except how is June B. supposed to enjoy anything when she has drawn the name of her arch nemesis, Tattletale May, for her Secret Santa gift! But wait – the Secret Santa gift is the perfect opportunity to give May exactly what she deserves…maybe. A holiday outing for the entire family with a message about giving is a perfect treat for the holiday season! Tickets are $14 and $9.
WWKI will welcome Neal McCoy, winner of two consecutive Entertainer of the Year Awards at the TNN/Music City News Country Awards, for two shows at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1. The veteran country music artist has released 10 albums and 35 singles to country radio throughout his career, including the No. 1 hits “No Doubt About It” and “Wink.” Tickets are $35, $25 and $18.
The Lord and Lady of Honeywell Manor invite you to partake in a festive holiday celebration when the Madrigal Dinner Theater comes to Legacy Hall at the Honeywell Center. The performance will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, and Saturday, Dec. 7. Partygoers will dine amongst royalty with a roast pork loin feast with all the trimmings, accompanied by nonstop live comedy, music and entertainment by his majesty’s singers, dancers, and, of course, the jester! Tickets are $55 and include dinner and entertainment.
Mi Tunes 101.9 and 105.9 The Bash welcomes Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood: The Two Man Group to the Honeywell Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13. Mochrie and Sherwood, stars of ABC’s Emmy-nominated “Whose Line Is It Anyway,” are touring throughout the world with their comedy improv show, based solely on topics suggested from the audience throughout the show. The Cape Cod Times says “They are laugh-until-your-sides-hurt funny. It’s exciting to watch them weave hilarity out of seemingly thin air.” Kirtlan Automotive is the corporate sponsor for the show, with Rettig’s Industrial Supplies serving as associate sponsor. Tickets are $75, $48, $34 and $19.
The Fort Wayne Philharmonic brings Fort Wayne’s favorite holiday tradition, Holiday Pops, to the Honeywell Center at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18. First Farmers Bank & Trust sponsors the 2013 concert event, with the Phil’s assistant conductor, Sameer Patel, leading the orchestra through favorite Christmas standards with a few surprises along the way! Tickets are $15.
WWKI welcomes the Oak Ridge Boys Christmas Time’s A Comin’ holiday event, sponsored by the Ford Meter Box Co. Inc., to the Honeywell Center stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19. The iconic group’s Christmas tour has become one of the most loved and popular performances during the holiday season. The Chicago Tribune says, “Whether you are a big country music fan during the rest of the year or prefer your country in the Taylor Swift pop style, this is a seasonal chestnut that is not to be missed.” Tickets are $75, $46, $34 and $20.
WBCL welcomes Christian music powerhouse Mark Schultz to the Honeywell Center at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21. Schutz’s new holiday tour features uplifting songs from his latest album, All Things Possible, as well as inspiring Christmas classics. Schultz has established himself as a hitmaker with 10 albums and 10 No. 1 singles, including the title track from his new CD. Other chart-topping songs include “I Am,” “When You Come Home,” “He Will Carry Me” and “Letters From War.” The show’s corporate sponsor is Halderman Farm Management Service. Tickets are $35, $27 and $18.
