Former English batsman Kevin Pietersen bashed all the players who ‘take shortcuts’ and fix matches in return of money and said they should undoubtedly be banned for life.

The Melbourne Stars overseas recruit was interviewed after a report in an Australian paper brought out minute details of how young players were being approached by bookies via the social media.

The star batsman has no sympathy for those who indulge in this criminal acts as he said everyone is well educated about the norms and policies of the game and risks involved in taking such a step.

Shuvgata Hom and Taijul Islam brought in to add strength to the T20I squad

Bangladesh has included batsmen Shuvagata Hom and left-arm spinner Taijul Islam in the 15-man squad for the first T20 against New Zealand in Napier on January 3.

eg spinner Tanbir Hayder and off-spinner Mehedi Hasan, who were a part of the ODI squad, were dropped. While Tanbir played two matches, the young Mehedi did not get a single game.

Rubel Hossain also didn’t get a game but was picked for the T20 while Soumya Sarkar, who made just one run in the first ODI, was also included.

New Zealand opening batsman Martin Guptill has been forced to miss the upcoming three-match T20 International series against Bangladesh at home after suffering a hamstring injury during the third and final ODI at Saxons Oval, Nelson.

The 33 year Neil Broom, who made his ODI comeback after a 6 years hiatus, has reaped the rewards for the scintillating performances in the recently concluded ODI series and been named as the replacement.

Board of Governors of the PCB approves of legal action against BCCI

The Board of Governors of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday has agreed with the PCB to take the legal action against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for not honouring the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two boards in 2014 to play bilateral series.

The news comes just a day after Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan had revealed that that the Board was preparing a legal case to claim compensation for the missed series.
