With E3 2013 coming up, we're all expecting some Superb Smashing Brethren Four news. I couldn't care less if it's just a video of Mario and Link having a taunt battle, simply giving us another reason to call our friends over and duke it out with our childhood icons is great. Thus, a myriad of fan theories and rosters have arose, even far before the confirmation. However, while there have been some decent rosters, plenty have been plagued with undesirable characters. While I do have my own suggestions for characters I would like for Smash 4, here are Characters that I would NOT LIKE to see in Smash 4.

Zoroark||5||Zoroark is a Dark type Generation V Pokemon, known for being a deceptive glass cannon. A multitude of Pokemon fans have drawn parallels between Zoro and Lucario, as they have similar stats and their own respective movies starring the Pokemon. However, people also say that because Lucario supposedly "replaced" Mewtwo in SSBB, it is time for Zoroark to "replace" Lucario. This theory is flawed in a plethora of ways. One, Mewtwo wasn't 'replaced' as much as he was 'rejected', given his unpopularity among the top players of the game; He is almost considered a novelty. While Lucario may have a handful of similar moves, this doesn't mean Lucario exists to overshadow Mewtwo; Lucario was put in to demonstrate the unique concept of a character gaining strength as it took damage, to introduce a "high risk, high return" system of play, hence Lucario's roles in the Pokemon games being a glass cannon. While Zoro is a good Pokemon as well, we don't need to kick a unique character like Lucario to the curb to include a new character. If he was included alongside Lucario, I would check him out. If his inclusion is at the cost of Lucario, no deal.

Kiddy Kong ||6||For those of you who already know me, you likely know that I am an editor of DKWiki (shameless plug) and help writing articles. In particular, the Donkey Kong Country series, which I grew up with. I've always loved the DKC series and their characters, but if I had to choose one character that I wouldn't like to be included in Smash 4, it is Kiddy Kong. Kiddy Kong is the younger cousin of Dixie Kong, one of the supposed beta characters of Brawl and is often requested for Smash 4. In the Donkey Kong universe, Dixie is introduced as Diddy Kong's girlfriend in Donkey Kong Country 2, where they both go into enemy territory and rescue Donkey Kong. In the game's sequel, both Donkey and Diddy are kidnapped, so Dixie and Kiddy go after them. While Dixie was the agile and practical choice, Kiddy was the heavier and less desire-able sidekick. Kiddy's greatest uses involve Dixie throwing him to a weak area in the floor to access a hidden area, or Kiddy flinging Dixie to a higher area. Aside from that, he was practically identical to the way Donkey Kong played, except when DK got hurt, he didn't wail and be completely obnoxious. If Kiddy enters Smash Bros., I would imagine he would be a smaller, weaker, and more annoying Donkey Kong.

Pichu||
8
||When it became known that not every Melee character was in Brawl, most fans were disappointed. There are people who believe all the "forbidden five" should return, and I would have to disagree. Out of the five, Pichu is the worst. Pichu, in the context of the Pokemon world, is a "baby" Pokemon, or a Pokemon that is substantially weak until evolved. It was used as a marketing tool much like Pikachu, for the cuteness factor. Aside from learning a unique move or two, it is not particularly useful. In Melee, it was given a chance to redeem itself. In it, Pichu is the shadow of Pikachu, with a near-identical moveset, but with Pichu being slightly faster and more lightweight. It may seem good on paper, but in the end, Pichu turned out to be one of the worst Smash Bros. characters ever conceived. Why? Was it his range and set-up issues? Well, partially, however those issues are greatly overshadowed by the fact that he is the lightest character in the game who hurts himself with over half of his moveset. As if being the most vulnerable to knockback wasn't enough of an issue, he hurts himself by using fighting moves in a game revolving around fighting. Honestly, that would be like Mario hurting himself every time he jumped. If Pichu does somehow make it into SBB4, it better have a complete overhaul.

Plusle & Minun||9||Plusle & Minun are one of the supposed beta characters, being among the unused character files in Brawl. Plusle and Minun are two Generation III Pokemon, introduced solely to promote the new double battle system and act as "cute" Pokemon. People speculate they were planned to be included as playable characters in Brawl, but were ultimately scraped for whatever reason. I have a hypothesis to this reason. You see, given the fact that the two are always seen together, and are saved under one character file, they would function like the Ice Climbers. In other words, Nintendo would be reusing their Ice Climbers gimmick, just with two Pichu clones. If they realized this and scrapped them, kudos to Nintendo for realizing their mistake.

Raiden||10||Yes, Raiden, the dude who is basically the Terminator but with a ninja sword. Now, some of you may be asking, why not the sword wielding Raiden over the gun-touting Snake? Heck, they could even pull a Metal Gear Solid 2 on us, where we started out with Snake, but then play as Raiden for the next twenty hours. However, that would not work out because Raiden has never been featured in any Nintendo consoles thus far. But if we put that fact aside, let's look into the background of Raiden;

Shadow/Dark/Evil X||10||By far, the cheesiest fighting character concept ever is taking a character that already exists, coloring him/her darker, modifying some of his/her moves to make them "Evil", and offer it as a standalone character. Street Fighter is a victim to this, with the characters "Akuma" and "Evil Ryu" having a very similar moveset Ryu, just altered so they utilize darkness instead of chi. In Akuma's case, he's so dang evil that the darkness gives him the right to be completely overpowered and banned in some games. Honestly, as badass as these characters may or may not be, I think a color swap is just fine.

Notable suggestions for Dark characters include Dark Link, Dark Pit, and SA-X. SA-X is Samus' clone, with a virus, hunting down Samus in Metroid Fusion. I'm aware of the issue that Metroid could use some more representation, but a virus based clone isn't the way to go.

Geno||10||I haven't actually played Mario RPG, with all of my knowledge of it coming from Youtube videos and MarioWiki. Geno is a character featured in Mario RPG, and is a wooden doll blessed with star powers. He (it?) aids Mario with powerful magic attacks, such as the "Geno Whirl" for up to 9,999 points of damage. He's got quite a following, being included in many wish lists and rumored multiple times. However, there's a catch; Square owns Mario RPG, meaning any sequels or using of the elements in 'RPG needs Square's permission. Couldn't Nintendo just buy the rights and include Geno? Well, yes, but is that really necessary? One, Geno hasn't been relevant to Mario since 1996, only getting a cameo in one other game. Second, Mario has enough representatives, and if they need to include more, Nintendo shouldn't waste their time hounding Square for the rights.

Master Chief||10||The Halo series is one of the better FPSs (FPSes?) out there, in my opinion; If you can get your hands on a copy of the original Combat Evolved, definitely go for it. The main character of this XBox exclusive series is none other than Master Chief, the green space marine who saves the galaxy time and time again from alien menace. He basically has a gun and shoots things. While they are quality FPSes, the transition from sci-fi shooter to fighting game would be rather awkward; First, Chief wouldn't be able to use his main rifle -- as seen with Snake, no assault rifles or even handguns allowed, unless they're cartoon-like (i.e. Fox's Blasters). As a result, he would be limited to his rocket launcher and grenades, like Snake, but no mortar to DACUS. Also, while Snake uses a variety of CQC training, I only see MC using a punch or elbow as a physical attack. In conclusion, aside from the fact that his inclusion would seem like an endorsement from Microsoft, he wouldn't transition well and would be a novelty.
