Programme overview
This programme is for SENCOs and inclusion managers who are committed to providing sustained outstanding SEN support to pupils in mainstream schools.
Participants will focus on the skills required to lead effective whole school development of teaching and learning for students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Through visits to four schools with Ofsted recognised outstanding SEN provision participants will explore key themes such as; data tracking and target setting, supporting achievement, building successful teams, measuring and maximising the impact of interventions, Individual Education Plans, engagement with parents, carers and families, and implications of current legislation on SEN provision.
Eligibility: For new and experienced SENCOs and inclusion managers
Cost: £850 (+ VAT) for members; £1275 (+VAT) for non-members
Start date: Autumn 2013 (cohort limited to 25 places)
Structure: A one-year programme comprising of four events
