The Government of Rajasthan conducted an interactive session ‘Rajasthan Development Dialogue’ on 8th July 2016 at SIR PADAMPAT SINGHANIA UNIVERSITY, UDAIPUR. Senior government officials briefed the students about the various flagship schemes undertaken by the State Government such as Rajasthan Skill Livelihood Development Cooperation (RSLDC), Resurgent Rajasthan, Mukhya Mantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan, Bhamashah Yojna, Bhamashah Swastha Beema Yojana and Arogya Rajasthan.
Mr. Haulianlal Guite, IAS, OSD State Finance Commission and Project Coordinator addressed the students and apprised them of various flagship schemes currently undertaken by the Government of Rajasthan with a view to recruit the brightest and passionate minds into an internship programme of one year for eligible candidates. He also mentioned that the Interns, upon selection, will work for the popularization and sensitization of these schemes to the residents of Rajasthan at the grassroots level.
Interns will be provided the following allowances:
– a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000
– a computer allowance of Rs 2,500 per month
– accommodations in the districts on the basis of availability and feasibility.
At the end of the internship, those who successfully complete the programme will be awarded a certificate; and the best performers will further be awarded a proficiency certificate, which with the work experience may go a long way to enrich their career prospects.
Other officials who highlighted the State Government Schemes were Mr. Aakash Pathak, Deputy Director, PMU, Dept of Statistics, Mr. Puneet Sharma, Deputy Director Economic and Statistical Dept and Mr. Praveen Pandiya, Statistical Dept.
A good number of under-graduate, post graduate, research scholars and alumni of the University participated enthusiastically in the event.
