Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina is facing a battle for fitness ahead of Sundays Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. The 30-year-old shot stopper returned from international duty with a hamstring injury he picked up in the build up to Spains 1-1 draw last Tuesday which ruled him out of Liverpools 1-0 win over Reading on Saturday afternoon. The Spaniard will also miss tonights Europa League clash at home to Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkal with Brad Jones set to deputise once again. Sky Sports report that the Spaniard to did not take part in training at Liverpools Melwood training ground this morning throwing the goalkeepers chances of taking on Everton on Sunday into doubt. Colin Pascoe Liverpools assistant manager has since revealed that the club will have to wait and see on Reinas progress leading up to the derby. We are not quite sure at the moment Pascoe told Sky Sports. "Hopefully it won't be too long. He is doing his rehab at the moment and is working hard in training. "So we will just have to assess him over the weekend and we will see then. "
