PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Carnegie Mellon University men's basketball team shot a season-best 52.3 percent from the floor in an 85-66 win over the visiting Cardinals of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota on Wednesday, December 28 on the hardwood of Skibo Gymnasium. The Tartans improve to 5-4 while the Cardinals even their record at 4-4.

Carnegie Mellon held Saint Mary's to 31.0% from the floor while the Tartans improve to 49-11 when shooting better than 50% from the floor since the 2002-03 season. The Tartans dominate the inside, as they held a 54-16 advantage on points in the paint and outrebounded the Cardinals, 50-38.

Junior Ryan Maha, a West Mifflin graduate, poured in a season-high 16 points, including connecting on 4-of-7 from long range.
