ERIE, Pa. - Freshman forward Katie Chess has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference
(AMCC) Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 21-27.
The Bethel Park graduate averaged 16.0 points and 9.3 rebounds in three games for the Lions, shooting 50 percent from the floor and going 10-for-13 from the free-throw line.
Chess tallied her first double-double with a game-high 18 points and 13 rebounds against NC Wesleyan on Sunday. She was also named to the Marietta Shootout All-Tournament Team.
