The Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins have a long-standing rivalry and are taking that rivalry outdoors at Heinz Field in February.

In honor of the two franchises marking their 50th anniversaries in the NHL, the two teams will also meet for an alumni game to be held at Wells Fargo Center. The Flyers and Penguins have announced that this game will take place on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m.

According to the Flyers release on the news, the event will be the largest gathering of alumni since the 2012 Winter Classic, featuring players from all five decades and eras of Flyers hockey as well as first-time alumni players.

Players confirmed for the game include Bobby Clarke, Bill Barber, Reggie Leach, Bob Kelly, Orest Kindrachuk, Joe and Jim Watson, Tim Kerr, Dave Poulin, Brian Propp, Murray Craven, Mark Howe, Brad Marsh, Kjell Samuelsson, Eric Lindros, John LeClair, Luke Richardson, Terry Carkner, Danny Briere, Simon Gagne, Eric Desjardins and Brian Boucher.

Full rosters will be announced closer to the date of the game.

Tickers for the game will go on sale exclusively for season ticket holders on Thursday at 11 a.m. with ticket sales being open to the general public on Friday at 11 a.m.
