Nigeria has been put in a precarious position with the public endorsement of Madagascar FA President, Ahmad Ahmad for CAF President.

The NFF President, Amaju Pinnick , who holds Nigeria’s sole voting pass, declared for the little known football administrator during an interview with BBC and CNN, a situation which NFF Technical Committee member and CAF non-Executive member Paul Bassey claims is troubling.

He insists Ahmad does not have the pedigree and has also not consulted with other stakeholders in the Country nor pay a visit to the Country in order to ascertain Nigeria’s concerns ahead of the election.

Bassey predicted a humiliating defeat for Ahmad at the March 16 poll, but also rues Nigeria’s position.
