Russian-born Australian Tennis player Arina Rodionova has an Australian Open qualifying match on the morning of her wedding, reports the BBC.
Rodionova will play Storm Sanders on Saturday morning, a match which had originally been scheduled to take place in the afternoon. Thankfully tournament organisers agreed to move the match to the morning so that it would not clash with the afternoon wedding.
The wedding – to Australian Rules football player Ty Vickery – is set to take place at 4pm on Saturday, but a Saturday morning victory would see Rodionova back on the court on Sunday for the qualifying final.
“I don’t think brides should be very drunk at the wedding,” Rodionova told the Sydney Morning Herald. “That’s not a good look, so I’m definitely not going to be having more than three. It should be good.”
