Former bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has revealed that it could take up to six months to fully recover from injuries sustained from her second-round knockout to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November.
“It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact,” Rousey told ESPN.
Time away from the Octagon was, however, all part of Rousey’s plan who has commitments including working on a remake of 1980s film Road House.
The recent defeat hasn’t left Rousey downbeat about her UFC future which is likely to include a rematch with Holm.
“Maybe I can’t do it all before my prime, before my body is done,” Rousey said. “But fuck it, maybe I can,” she said.
