THRILLING NEW DRAMA “QUANTICO,” ON SEPTEMBER 29

Their mentors at the Academy—Miranda Shaw and Liam O’Connor—have boundless experience but a complicated history with the Bureau and each other. 22:00 - The Goldbergs - Gets Hulu Streaming Deal

On the heels of The Goldbergs‘ third season premiere on ABC last night, the family comedy has landed a deal with Hulu. Under the pact between the streaming service and Sony Pictures TV — the studio which produces the 1980s comedy — effective today the previous seasons of The Goldbergs will be available on both tiers of Hulu’s subscription service, with limited and no commercials.

Hulu already had been carrying the five most recent Goldbergs episodes from the current season on its free, add-supported platform as part of an agreement with ABC. That will continue.

The Sony TV-Hulu deal for The Goldbergs follows the two companies’ blockbuster streaming deal for the entire run of the classic 1990s sitcom Seinfeld. Like the Seinfeld pact, I hearThe Goldbergs deal is exclusive for streaming only, and Sony could also sell the show in broadcast and cable syndication.
