Bruce pulls out all the stops with a grand romantic gesture, but things don’t go according to plan. Meanwhile, Emma becomes an unknowing victim of an image posted online by Diane (guest star Neve Campbell), the new head of marketing, who is tasked with turning around the bank’s image. EMMA CLASHES WITH HER BOSS WHEN HE TAKES CREDIT FOR HER REPORT–JASON PRIESTLEY AND NEVE CAMPBELL GUEST STAR–Emma (Josephine Bornebusch) grows irritated with her boss Olof (guest star Magnus Mark) when he takes credit for her presentation to Hans (guest star Claes Ljungmark), the company CEO. Emma stands up for herself and confronts Olof, but her plan backfires when Hans takes note of her hostile behavior. Elsewhere, Bruce (Greg Poehler) adjusts to his self-appointed role as “the guy” in Stockholm, a local guide who can entertain visiting celebrities and show them the coolest things to do while in town. When Jason Priestley (guest starring as himself) comes to Stockholm for the day, he enlists Bruce, who quickly discovers that Jason is only interested in learning more about Ingmar Bergman. Not wanting to lose his newfound title as “the guy,” Bruce convinces Bengt (Per Svensson) to pose as one of Bergman’s former assistant directors. Lena Olin and Claes Månsson also star. BRUCE FINDS TROUBLE ON THE SLOPES WHEN HE ACCOMPANIES EMMA’S FAMILY ON A SKI TRIP–ANJA PARSON GUEST STARS–Emma (Josephine Bornebusch) invites Bruce (Greg Poehler) to join her parents, Birger (Claes Månsson) and Viveka (Lena Olin), on their annual family ski trip. Bruce finds himself completely out of his element, while Emma, an accomplished skier, relives an old rivalry on the slopes. Back home, Gustaf (Christopher Wagelin) looks for a new apartment after feeling pressure from Emma to move out and hits a few stumbling blocks in his search. COMPLICATIONS WHEN BRUCE’S PARENTS COME TO TOWN TO HELP PLAN THE WEDDING–ILLEANA DOUGLAS AND PATRICK DUFFY GUEST STAR–Bruce’s (Greg Poehler) parents Wayne (guest star Patrick Duffy) and Nancy (guest star Illeana Douglas) come to town to help arrange the wedding. However, tensions quickly arise when they offer to pay for the wedding if Bruce and Emma (Josephine Bornebusch) move the nuptials to the United States – an idea that does not sit well with Birger (Claes Månsson) and Viveka (Lena Olin), who have other ideas. Later, Viveka grows envious of Emma and Nancy’s close relationship after watching them bond while wedding dress shopping. Meanwhile, Birger and Viveka struggle to sell their summer home prompting Wayne to offer an opportunity. Christopher Wagelin and Per Svensson also star.

BRUCE AND GUSTAF VISIT THE AMERICAN CLUB OF STOCKHOLM–PAUL SIMON GUEST STARS–Gustaf (Christopher Wagelin) accompanies Bruce (Greg Poehler) to the American Club of Stockholm, an establishment for Americans and their acquaintances. While there, Bruce befriends Chuck (guest star Kodjo Akolor), a fellow American and personal trainer who also moved to Sweden for a woman. However, Bruce soon questions the sincerity of their friendship when Chuck charges him for a workout. Elsewhere, Bruce tries to cut down on saying “I love you” since Emma (Josephine Bornebusch) thinks it is too American to say it all the time and Gustaf masters the art of getting things for free. Lena Olin, Per Svensson and Claes Månsson also star.

BRUCE AND EMMA ARE BOTH SURPRISED BY THEIR FRIENDS WITH RESPECTIVE BACHELOR AND BACHELORETTE PARTIES–JACK BLACK AND NEVE CAMPBELL GUEST STAR –Bruce (Greg Poehler) meets up with Jack Black (guest starring as himself) at his hotel to show him around the city, but the situation takes a sudden turn when Bruce gets abducted by a group of masked men, who turn out to be Gustaf (Christopher Wagelin), Bengt (Per Svensson), Karl (guest star Henrik Johansson) and Hassan (guest star Basim Albasim), with grand plans for his surprise bachelor party. Meanwhile, Emma (Josephine Bornebusch) is thrown a bachelorette party by Diane (guest star Neve Campbell) and her work colleagues, but things quickly spiral out of control. BRUCE COACHES A JUNIOR BASKETBALL TEAM–NEVE CAMPBELL GUEST STARS–While at a dinner party, Karl (guest star Henrik Johansson) coaxes Bruce (Greg Poehler), who used to play basketball in college, into coaching the sport for the local kids team. He reluctantly agrees, but quickly discovers the language barrier might be too much to overcome. Wanting to help, Gustaf (Christopher Wagelin) volunteers to help translate for Bruce, but does so with his own special twist. Elsewhere, a very stressed Emma (Josephine Bornebusch) continues to have some problems at work, while Viveka (Lena Olin) tries to toughen up Birger (Claes Månsson) so he can speak his mind at the annual condo board meeting. BRUCE GOES ON AN ELABORATE SEARCH FOR A SPECIAL REQUEST–AMY POEHLER AND NEVE CAMPBELL GUEST STAR–When Amy Poehler (guest starring as herself) comes to town for a speaking engagement, she asks a reluctant Bruce (Greg Poehler) to find her some marijuana, which proves harder than he anticipated. Wanting to lend a hand, Gustaf (Christopher Wagelin) takes Bruce to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting with expectations of finding someone who can help. Elsewhere, Bruce and Emma (Josephine Bornebusch) quarrel over her reluctance to change her last name when she discovers that Emma Evans is also a Swedish porn star. Meanwhile, Gustaf attempts to land a job and Emma, on part-time sick-leave from her job, is quick to learn it isn’t all it is cracked up to be. Lena Olin, Claes Månsson and Per Svensson also star.

09:25 - Vertigo DC Movies (Sandman) Moving to New Line Cinema
EXCLUSIVE: Warner Bros-owned DC Comics imprint Vertigo movie titles are going to come under the auspices of New Line Cinema, I’m told. Warner Bros has its hands full with Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and all of the other tentpole pictures they are planning from DC titles, and so it would make sense for the Vertigo titles to be steered under Toby Emmerich and Richard Brener. The Vertigo titles are considered subversive compared to the WB-steered DC Comics titles with those venerable superheroes.
Maybe the appropriate film on which to launch a dedicated Vertigo label would be Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman, which Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been wrapped up in as director and star since he made his helming debut with Don Jon. Deadline scooped his involvement in the project two years ago. That project, a revered title by Gaiman which fanboys have waited years to see, has a script by Jack Thorne. Other titles in that constellation include Constantine, Preacher and Lucifer. That move is expected imminently, I’m told.

09:20 - MOVIES: Justice League Dark - Guillermo del Toro Exits / No Longer Directing
Justice League Dark, which is also known as Dark Universe, will remain under the Warners banner. Dark consists of DC’s supernatural heroes such as Constantine, Swamp Thing, Zatanna, and Deadman among others. In the past, Constantine and Swamp Thing and some of those ilk had their own titles published under the Vertigo imprint but have since been integrated into the DC Universe. The movie version will attempt the same.
Dark, the adaptation, was to have been directed by Guillermo del Toro, but insiders say the filmmaker, who is working on a sequel to Pacific Rim even as he preps his gothic horror movie Crimson Peak, is no longer attached to the project.

05:20 - Upfront 2015: CBS Seen Closing With Lower Volume
CBS is seen closing upfront sales with lower volume, according to media buyers and other executives, who describe a marketplace in which Madison Avenue is earmarking fewer dollars for TV advertising and also placing more money against new forms of digital media.
“Agencies and clients continue to value the strength, stability and delivery that our schedule provides, and are increasingly committing dollars against C7,” the network said in a statement, referring to a measure of ad viewership across seven days after an initial air date. “Looking ahead, ‘Thursday Night Football’ and our new latenight lineup will help us build on our number one position and bode well for us throughout the year.”
In last year’s upfront, CBS secured between $2.38 billion and $2.64 billion, according to Varietyestimates. Speaking to investors in September, CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves said the network had seen a dip of between 4% and 5% in the volume of advance advertising commitments it had secured, compared to the $2.5 billion to $2.75 billion in commitments it attracted in 2013.
If CBS were to have followed a similar pace of business in this year’s negotiations, the network could have secured between $2.26 billion and $2.53 billion in advance advertising commitments, according to Variety estimates.
CBS made a push to secure increases in the cost of reaching 1,000 viewers, a measure known as a CPM that is integral to these annual discussions between advertisers and TV networks. Ad buyers suggested CBS was doing deals with CPM hikes of between 3% and 4%, though a person familiar with the situation CBS also sought agreements that called for CPM increases in the mid-single-digit percentage range.
The amount CBS held back for so-called scatter advertising, or ad inventory that is not purchased in advance, could not be immediately learned. In 2014, CBS sold approximately 74% to 75% of its advertising inventory, compared with a more typical 79%, Moonves disclosed last year.

05:15 - Snowfall - Billy Magnussen To Star In John Singleton FX Pilot
Billy Magnussen, who plays Kato Kaelin in FX’s upcoming 10-hour limited series American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, is expanding his relationship with the network with another project about events from Los Angeles’ recent history. Magnussen has been tapped as one of the leads of Snowfall, FX’s drama pilot from John Singleton about the beginnings of the crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles in the 1980s.
Co-created and co-written by the Boyz n the Hood director Singleton and Eric Amadio and directed by Singleton, Snowfall is set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it. It follows three characters on a violent collision course: Franklin Saint, young street entrepreneur on a quest for power; Gustavo Zapata, a Mexican wrestler turned gangster in search of his American dream; and Logan Miller (Magnussen), a prominent family’s “black sheep” desperate to escape his father’s shadow. When he sees an opportunity to reverse his fortunes, Miller risks everything to become a player in the burgeoning cocaine trade in Los Angeles.

Daniels Will Continue On “Empire” As Well As Develop, Write, Direct and Supervise New Television Projects for The Studio
June 29, 2015, Hollywood, CA – Lee Daniels, co-creator and executive producer of the season’s smash sensation “Empire,” has entered into a multiyear deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television, it was announced today by Fox Television Group Chairmen and CEO’s Gary Newman and Dana Walden. Under the extensive pact, he will develop, write, direct and supervise new projects for the studio under his Lee Daniels Entertainment banner. Daniels will remain as an executive producer of the Fox juggernaut, which has done what no series has ever done before; grown its ratings in each of its telecasts to become the No. 1 show in all of broadcast television, and the highest-rated broadcast drama in seven years.
“Lee Daniels has a gift for telling authentic, provocative stories that are both truthful and wildly entertaining,” commented Walden and Newman. “His casting instincts are incredible, whether he is discovering tomorrow’s stars or attracting the most accomplished performers to his projects. Daniels serves as an executive producer and director on “Empire” alongside co-creator/executive producer Danny Strong, showrunner/executive producer Ilene Chaiken, executive producer Brian Grazer and executive producer Francie Calfo, and he directed the pilot episode. On the feature side, he will next start shooting “The Untitled Richard Pryor Biopic” for the Weinstein Company.
Daniels is an Academy Award® nominated filmmaker whose body of work includes the critically acclaimed box office smash “Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” “Precious: Based On The Novel Push By Sapphire” for which he was the first African American to be nominated for a Director's Guild of America Award for "Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film," “The Paperboy” and “Shadowboxer.” He also produced the acclaimed “Monster’s Ball” starring Halle Berry, Billy Bob Thornton and Heath Ledger.
