Bappi Lahiri directorial debut short film at 2nd Kolkata Shorts International Film Festival-2013 on 24 Aug 2013.

2nd Kolkata Shorts International Film Festival-13 is ready to thrill the audience with short films from 14 countries. KSFF-13 is an amalgamation of unleash cinematic creativity & madness of cine-goers of beautiful city of Kolkata & its objective is to give momentum to the short cinema & to foster the growth of new breed of filmmakers. The festival will be held at Hotel Tulip INN at Park Street.

The festival has received total of 570 movies online submission. On the basis of synopsis of movies 216 films was invited & out of them festival had received total of 173 submission. The selection panel has shortlisted around 74 films & most of them shall be screened during 2nd KSIFF-13 on 24 Aug in Kolkata, informed by festival director Rambhul Singh who is also an award winning filmmaker.

The main attractions of the festival are shorts films like ‘Scenes from Suburbia’ is a collage of three heartfelt stories directed by Sowrik Dutta, ‘Jo Jo Lalli’ directed by Sandeep Malani is a romantic drama based on AIDS awareness, documentary Bhopal Shed-Unsaid directed by Syed Samar Mehdi tells the story of after effects of Bhopal carbide gas plant tragedy, Bengali short films ‘Bheja Chitti’ directed by Rishin Banerjee, ‘Ekti Choto Chobi‘ directed by Indrani Chakrabarti and ‘Self’ directed by Avishek Dutta makes interesting watch.
